You will ideally have a previous background in selling main brand names yachts such as Jeanneau, Legend, Beneteau, Sealine, Princess etc.

·                         5 years + well rounded industry knowledge covering all aspects of running rigging and composite or traditional standing rigging.

Fairview Sailing is an expanding yacht charter company based in Hamble offering bareboat, skippered charters and Corporate events. A permanent position is available to assist our existing maintenance team.

The ideal candidate needs to have a broad knowledge of all aspects of general yacht maintenance and terminology. A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail is paramount to uphold our maintenance program. You will need to be able to work under pressure during some periods of the season. Weekend work will be necessary on a rota system with time given off in lieu. Flexibility of occasional early evening work is required to satisfy our customer requirements. Good customer service, communication skills and a smart appearance is essential.

Sailing qualifications are not essential.

All the management responsibility of "Custom made" and "Oyster" yacht teams. Providing timely and complete delivery of the products. Responsible from the current customer satisfaction, customer continuity and introducing Company Yacht department, and providing the sustainability of the employee satisfaction.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
.    To manage the team for reviewing the designs of owner contracted design companies from feasibility of production, quality and performance targets.
.    To manage and  control the works of manufacturing design team which is responsible to the production manager and to control the production of the products which are in compliance with the design based on the harmonious operation of the design and production.
.    To control the functioning of the purchase department within the structure of the Department and to control timely, correct and budget-compliant supply of the materials required for production.
.     To control the time schedules of the sailing boats and motor yachts at the stage of production and to provide the compliance with this plan.
.    Within the frame of the customer demands, to control timely and as-planned preparation of the yacht furniture designs, which is the responsibility of the Interior Design manager, and in contrary cases, to conduct the required orientation for correction
.     To provide the follow-up of the contracts of the boats and ships coming to the shipyard for repair-maintenance together with the Yacht and Ship Repair Maintenance Manager, to follow-up the performance of the maintenance works in compliance with the plan and their timely and complete delivery to the customer.
.    To plan the yacht investments according to the new developed production methods and to provide the implementation of these.
.    To conduct the activities which shall contribute to the development of the employees who are responsible to him/her and to provide information sharing
.    To provide the production of the boats at the stage of manufacturing within the direction of the quality policies of the company and to control these regularly.
.    To perform activities to increase the production and quality by contributing to the development of the company.
.    To prepare reports from time to time in order to achieve the satisfaction of the available customers and to organize meetings at regular periods.
.    To provide the preparation of the domestic and international customer contracts, to follow-up these contracts and to perform the required updates.
.    To participate in the fairs, promotions and meetings and to represent the company.
.    To provide the preparation of the cost analysis, profit-loss statements and budget reports of the boats that are manufactured and to report these to the top management.
.    To provide the preparation of the budget for the boats to be manufactured and to make the cost analysis until the completion of the production within this direction.
.    For realization of the work plans, to provide the preparation of the annual budget of the Yacht Department and 5-year plans in compliance with the company standards.

YACHT DESIGNER

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is a Senior Interior Designer, who will be responsible for handling the account of a large yacht project. You will be involved with the interior design and management of this project from conceptualization through to installation. This includes layout and design of the interior of a luxury yacht including bulkeads, furniture, finishes, lighting, etc. Duties assosciated with this role will include but not be limited to:

Support and assist project teams across the organisation by contributing and participating at all stages of a project from concept creation through to completion.
Demonstrate an ability to think creatively through active participation in internal team meetings and brainstorms
Comfortable to explore and discuss creative concepts, making suggestions at appropriate stages in the project
Managing incoming and outgoing drawings by printing, collating and filing them immediately according to the established filing system - computer and paper.
Using AutoCAD when required to assist with drawing production
Assist senior designers in the development and preparation of scheme designs
Demonstrate an ability to communicate with key team members at each stage of the project
Detail specific project requirements e.g. furniture sketching, electrical drawings, models etc.
Attend internal review meetings and assist with any issues as they arise
Contribute to the successful implementation of a project
Attend final site visits with senior designer(s) and assist with any FF&E or styling requirements

YACHT CHARTER FLEET ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Top Yacht manages a varied fleet of 25-30 privately owned bareboat sailing yachts of 30-50ft, and we have a reputation for quality yachts and a flexible personal service to clients. Your job is to ensure high levels of reliability of our bareboats for charterers and owners, and you will work within a small team of local and expat staff to achieve this. You will maintain and repair engines and equipment, brief clients on the use of the yachts and solve problems arising during charters.

The post is based in Keci Buku , with occasional travel to Gocek. You must be an adaptable individual with strong practical engineering skills, relevant qualifications and experience in the marine sector.

A Driving Licence and physical fitness are essential; sailing experience, computer skills and client relations experience desirable. The job is available immediately, initially until 15/12/2007, renewable 01/02/08-15/12/08 and annually thereafter subject to performance.

SALARY

Starting salary is £900 per month, with no deductions for tax or NI, reflecting the low cost of living in Turkey. A bonus is paid at the end of each season, calculated on workload.

WORKSHOP MANAGER

A well established and successful company is looking to expand its involvement in the marine sector through the using the latest digital fabrication techniques.
We are therefore seeking to recruit an experienced workshop manager preferably from the marine industry to set up and manage a new and much larger 5 axis machining facility.

The work will include the fabrication of moulds and plugs for boatbuilding, models and film sets for film studios and complex formwork for the construction industry.

The successful candidate will probably have a background in boatbuilding or mould making and also have experience in working in a range of materials including composite constructions. A proven track record of completing projects to the highest of standards is essential as is a practical problem solving approach to all types of fabrication.

Experience of CADCAM manufacturing techniques would be ideal but not essential however a willingness to learn new skills is important. Computer literacy, word, excel, outlook etc is required
