YACHT ADMINISTRATOR - MONACO

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a leading Superyacht Brokerage, Charter and Management Company with offices worldwide. Due to continued expansion they have an opening for an experienced Yacht Administrator for their Monaco office.

Candidates will be responsible for a number of yachts within our client’s fleet. You will be responsible for the financial administration of the yachts, budgeting, payroll and invoicing.

You must have a good telephone manner and be confident at dealing with Yacht Captains on a daily basis.

Candidates must have good accounting skills, and experience of working within a similar, shore based Superyacht company.

Language skills are very important in this role: fluent English and French are necessary, along with either Italian and/or Russian.

MARINE ELECTRONICS TECHNICIANS - $30,000-$42,000 - BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS


JOB DESCRIPTION

 
Required February to June 2011. Knowledge of Raymarine installation essential; Sat TV experience advantageous. Vehicle provided. Position is available immediately after work permit approval. Possible permanent position

Service/installation technician; Marine electronics and electrical systems.


Cay Electronics Ltd is based in the British Virgin Islands in the North East Caribbean.   Our primary market is the yachting industry but we do occasionally work on workboats, ferries, and larger commercial vessels.   We supply and install a variety of marine electronics equipment from leading manufacturers and offer support services for their equipment on vessel both based in this area and transiting the area.   Whilst the majority of installations are sailing instruments, multi function displays and autopilots we also supply, service and install VSat terminals, Fleet Broadband, Satellite TV, instrumentation and monitoring systems, control systems, generators and distribution systems, etc.  


Installation


Hardware

Establish the locations for mounting all new hardware and liaise with specialist subcontractors (joinery, glassfibre, rigger, machine shop) as needed.   Having due regard to maintenance and service requirements neatly and securely mount all hardware.


Wiring

Establish cable runs and install raceways/conduit as necessary.   Use existing raceways and conduits where possible.  Install all wiring and ensure that it is neat and properly secured and have regard to the minimum bend radii on coaxial and other cables where applicable.   Terminate all cables and leave service loops where appropriate.   Determine the correct size of cables to use having regard to the cable length, routing and load.   Fit fuses or breakers as appropriate to protect both the equipment and cables.


Mechanical

Mainly limited to but not exclusively autopilot drives both hydraulic and mechanical.   Install the equipment neatly ensuring that it is properly aligned and has the optimal mechanical advantage.  Ensure that all mountings, brackets and linkages are adequate for the maximum loads that may be exerted on them.   


Interfacing

Interconnect equipment using the NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 standards and manufacturers proprietary interfaces.


Configuration

On completion of the installation configure and test the systems and conduct sea trials where appropriate.


Servicing and repair


Troubleshoot systems and equipment on and off the vessel to module level.  Repair and/or replace defective equipment and wiring.

PRODUCT MANAGER II - MARINE FIP AND ENGINE COOLING - HERTFORDSHIRE, UK

To provide technical product support, application assistance, and product training to sales staff and customers. Coordinate pricing and product rationalization activities. Champion products through the ITT Value Based Product Development {VBPD} and Value Based Management {VBM} process. Provide support and information required to design-in Flow Control Value Center products. Facilitate communication between operations, engineering, sales and customer service.
   
DUTIES INCLUDE
  • Ensure both the sales force and our customers receive appropriate levels of application engineering and solutions support.
  • Achieve targeted growth, profitability, and EVA by product line. Coordinate EVA analysis with the identified Value Center VBM champion.
  • Maximize the revenue and standard margin for the assigned product portfolio.
  • Manage portfolio, life cycle, and product road maps for the assigned product portfolio.
  • Propose cost improvements and coordinate costing recommendations with both Engineering and Operations.
  • Recommend, investigate and document new product opportunities.

UK AREA SALES MANAGER - MARINE - £28–32,000 - HERTFORDSHIRE, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION
 
To promote and sell ITT marine product to boat builders, boat repairers and yards, boat dealers, marine engine marinisers and chandleries.  Experience of selling to large nationwide retailers also a plus. The territory will be in UK with boundaries yet to be determined. The successful candidate will travel extensively throughout the area, spending approx 90% of time with customers; this will involve regular nights away from home.

DUTIES INCLUDE
  • Increase sales of our pumps and ancillary products in line with company targets within defined area by identifying new opportunities and maximising the performance of new and existing chandlers, dealers and OEM customers through regular contact, training, motivation, encouragement, merchandising and field visits.
  • The manager will provide feedback on market, competitor activity and application opportunities and, maintain a high level of product knowledge of both the company's and its competitors products.
  • The job holder will attend all relevant exhibitions in the territory giving support to participating dealers/retail chandlers and to provide reports on marine sector and competitor activities.

Core Competencies:
  • Marine sector sales experience.
  • Pump sales and application experience an advantage.
  • Whilst no specific qualification required, likely to have a "technical background" ideally within the marine sector. Practical 'real world, hands-on' experience will be an advantage.
