Beijing Sailing Center is the only sailing school in China offering courses to suit anyone following the RYA/BCU guidelines. We are recruiting seasonal and full time watersports instructors. The skills that we seek are dinghy sailing, yachting, kayaking, windsurfing and raft building. Applications from multi-activity instructors will be more successful, especially with regard to year-round positions.
During our summer season from May to October, we are situated close to Beijing, while during our winter season from November to April we relocate to tropical Southern China. Thus enabling our full time staff to skip winters and experience the broadest variety of Chinese cultures.

The primary role is to manage direct production resources in an efficient, effective and safe manner to produce yachts in compliance with the prevailing standards and schedule requirements.

Candidates must:
* Have a strong boatbuilding background
* Have a background in carpentry
* Be located in the South West or be willing to relocate on a permanent basis
* Have experience of managing teams on a yacht production line
Typical work activities
* Full time management of directs to ensure pace T&A and overtime meet expectations to produce boats in target hours.
* To ensue that the workforce are appropriately skilled and are regularly reviewed for skill, effort and attitude. Where there is an issue coach and mentor the individual.
* Monitor KPI’s and take corrective action as appropriate to ensure adherence to critical success factors such as schedule adherence, Compliance to prevailing quality standards and labour efficiency.
* Ensure the line is balanced and daily targets are met.
* Operative discipline; Bell to bell working, Properly managed overtime and H&S protocols are adhered to at all times.

2. Assess materials and labour required for project and initiate purchasing
3. Agree final scope of project with client and provide a full specification
4. Organise and manage project meetings from start up to close down, including regular site briefings
5. Manage communications across the project team in line with Quality Assurance manual
6. Take responsibility for site management with regard to personnel and work.
7. Manage the project installation, monitoring and reporting on client satisfaction, cost control, and standard of work, taking action to improve where necessary.
8. Prince and invoice work, noting variations to original plan.
9. Produce monthly financial and status reports
10. Manage, motivate and control the performance of sub-contractors
11. Lead, motivate and manage the project team, providing clear direction and objectives, reviewing progress and providing feedback.
12. Communicate regularly with client to understand their needs, ensure their satisfaction, and giving advice of any potential problems.
The successful candidate will be required to spend time away from home as required, depending on the location of the projects.
