SUPERYACHT SALES MANAGER – ASIA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading Brokerage company in Asia, with plans to expand further into the Superyacht sector.
They are currently recruiting for an experienced Superyacht Sales Broker to manage the Superyacht division of their company.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key contact in the Superyacht sector in Asia. The superyacht sector is growing rapidly in Asia, and our client plans to become the biggest name in the region in this sector. As Superyacht Manager you will work alongside the Managing Director to build up the Superyacht side of the business, and set up a new office.

Key Responsibilities
To maximize the sales of both new build and brokerage superyachts to clients within your agreed territory and – where agreed with the Managing Director – in other territories, achieving your monthly net profit targets and keeping overheads and expenses within budgeted limits.
To build up and maintain a comprehensive contact list of clients, potential clients and trade intermediaries and suppliers and industry personnel and to maintain accurate records of the same and record all dealings with the same, in the company database (Dynamics) and appropriate files.
To achieve Central Listings and Direct Listings of brokerage yachts to sell and ensure all the relevant data is accurately recorded and processed.
To actively market and sell all stock boats, listed yachts and priority yachts as advised by the Company from time to time.
To establish an effective working relationship with the service department teams in Hong Kong and China to ensure commissioning, handover and after-sales service for all new yachts are handled in a professional manner.
To report the status of your new enquiries, sales achieved, sales negotiations in hand and other market, competitor and client intelligence in a weekly report to the Managing Director and in weekly sales meetings.
To uphold the name and reputation of the Company for professionalism, results, service, friendliness and high standards of integrity.
To oversee the delivery of all yachts sold by you and ensure all contract terms and commitments are fulfilled.
To promote and develop our client’s presence and reputation for excellence.

SKIPPERS - UK


JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently tendering for a number of large contracts within the UK and will be looking to build our database for potentially immediate opportunities on various types of vessels providing crew, equipment and services to the fast growing renewable energy market specialising in offshore windfarms.

Our clients have very high standards and require the following certification (please note these are essential requirements);

    STCW Master II/2 CoC (limitations – all vessels upto 200gt) or above
    STCW 95’ Basic Safety Training (PST, FP&FF, EFA
    ENG1 Medical
    Valid passport or work permit (EU sector)


Other certification that would increase opportunities within large operations are:

    Basic Offshore Safety and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
    Seaman’s discharge book
    UKOOA Medical


Shift patterns vary but are usually 1-3 weeks on and 1-3 weeks off.

DESIGNER - SOUTH WEST, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview

The successful candidate will join a fast paced In-house Design Team on the development of current/new Motor yacht layouts, furniture, GRP mouldings and components. They will have the freedom to create exciting furniture and layouts within the envelope of the brand, helping to move our client forward as they continue to develop class leading products. They will work closely with Naval Architects, Engineering and Pattern makers to produce accurate 2D/3D drawings that they will then see through to production. Above all they must be confident and able to think fast on their feet and accept new challenges on a daily basis.

Key Skills

    Design degree (i.e.Automotive/Product design) BA or BSc Grade 2.1 or above.  
    3D CAD – A good working knowledge of Unigraphics NX or similar package
    2D CAD – AutoCAD
    Photoshop
    General computer literacy – Word/Excel
    Good understanding of materials and basic properties GRP/Timber/Steels & Alloys
    Strong awareness of mechanisms and mechanical principles
    Strong conceptual skills – marker/Photoshop renderings a plus

Experience

    Ideally 2 + years experience in Marine/architecture/automotive design

Core Role

    Early conceptual work based around new layouts and furniture styling.  
    Development of 2D CAD general arrangement plans sections and elevations.
    Development of 3D freeform surfaces using combination of hand sketches and 3D CAD modelling.
    Organisation and detailing of 1:1 mock ups of major areas.
    Presentation of concepts for approval at Director Level.
    Oversee build of first yacht ensuring design intent is met, thinking laterally to overcome production issues.
    Create and maintain product BOM’s and liase with purchasing team on new products

PRODUCTION MANAGER – SOUTH WEST, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Client is a well established luxury Yacht manufacturer, based in the UK. Due to continued expansion, and the development of new models, they have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join their team.

Main Purpose of the Job

    Lead, manage and develop a manufacturing cell in a safe manner to achieve the production schedule, control costs within budget & produce a product to the correct quality and production design specification.
    Drive and co-ordinate initiatives to reduce lead time and eliminate waste within the cell.
    Produce cell improvement plans to reduce build hours and improve availability.
    Oversee and manage facility changes within the cell, this may include capital expenditure plans.
    Reduce waste i.e. hours from the job to improve productivity figures.


Knowledge/Experience/Skills Needed

    Liaison with Manufacturing Engineers, Continuous Improvement Manager, Production Staff, Production Chargehands, and other cell managers. Also to liaise with other sites on common improvement methods and ideas
    Ensure processes meet health and safety requirements and ensure new products conform to COSHH and risk assessments.
    Ensure 5S audits are being conducted and 5S targets are achieved.
    Ensure cell meets cost , quality and delivery targets
    Ensure in- Build Checks are performed in a timely manner
    Ensure build hours are achieved
    Ensure schedule is achieved
    Drive cell to exceed 80% PRP (Performance Related Pay) target

Knowledge/Experience

    An essential requirement for these posts is either 3 years experience as a Manager and/or a Manufacturing Engineer.    A good understanding of lean/ improvement techniques.
    Computer literate specifically with Excel and Word.
    Significant communication skills.
    Good team building skills and a drive to progress within the operation.
    Strong engineering background.

Candidates should have experience of working in a fast paced, changing environment which demands managers to deal with a variety of challenges.
