Be qualified to a minimum of RYA Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor
Carry out an operationally focused role alongside the Yachting Chief Instructor
Manage day to day direction of all instructional staff, including performance reviews and a sustained program of 'personal training development'
Be responsible for ensuring the UKSA fleet is maintained to industry standards
Have solid experience in people management within a relevant sector
Work alongside course managers to effectively develop course content
Teach yachting courses as required
Have a strong focus on customer service
Be a 'self-starter', highly organised and able to work at all levels within the organisation

The Candidate:

The successful candidate should be career minded and enjoy a challenge. The ability to travel within the UK and spend an amount of time away from home will be essential. The ability to work both on their own yet within a larger team will be required. Degree level education is beneficial although not essential and an attention to detail and a passion for product based sales will aid the successful candidate once within the role.


The salary rate will be based on experience and market knowledge however; where this is present, packages above market rate can be expected. There are multiple ways in which the market can be split and therefore applications from all experience and skill levels can be explored. Distributor

Maintain a business plan and forecast with the Distributor.

Our expectations

Minimum 5 yrs design office experience preferably with production small craft.
Experience with GRP small craft structures, knowledge of the ISO and ABS rules.
Must be AutoCAD proficient.  Experience in parametric 3D modelling is preferable (We use Unigraphics NX).
Attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
Knowledge of yachts and sailing is a 'must'.  Preferably you are a keen sailor like most of the members of the team.
Occasional travel to our Danish site may be required.

Job Role Summary:

To deliver sailing instruction and provide excellent care and service to child and adults guests according to agreed Company and RYA standards and procedures.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Working as part of a team to teach Day Skipper and Competent Crew courses to guests of all ages and abilities (within reason) following both the RYA syllabus and Neilson programme.
Work as part of a team to pro-actively provide assistance to all guests using the yachts each day.
Assist in providing a safe and enjoyable working environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to, for both guests and staff.
Take personal responsibility for the maintenance, repair and security of Neilson yachts and equipment to ensure the meeting of brochure specifications and guests expectations.
Organise and host social events, deliver briefings and generally interact with guests at all times.
Be prepared to move between the different resorts according to operational needs and to fulfill the contracted end date.
Be flexible in the job role and willing to assist in other areas within reason as requested by your manager.
