Required to join the join the Outdoor and Active team at Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor.
As Chief Instructor you will work with the Outdoor Activities Manager to run and promote an efficient and profitable Outdoor + Active Centre at Wimbleball Lake and co-ordinate hire, launch and tuition of courses for a range of activities including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing. To supervise the camping operations. To assist in the coarse fishing and development of all site activities
Key responsibilities
Deliver RYA windsurfing, RYA dinghy sailing courses and BCU approved standard canoeing courses, as appropriate.
Assist Outdoor & Active Manager in building a reliable and trustworthy team of staff at the Centre; maintaining a current list of staff qualifications and details; controlling staff rota to ensure adequate staffing at all times.
Responsible for ensuring all day to day enquiries regarding watersports, camping and angling are dealt with and excellent customer relations are maintained.
Maintaining Centre equipment and documentation to NGB standards required for all inspections.
Liaise and co-operate with all other water users and operations on site.
Responsible for ensuring site security and keeping safety/maintenance records of all equipment.
Responsible for ensuring site, buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
Assist with training of staff, work experience and volunteer personnel in health and safety and operating procedures.
Assist in raising the profile/development of the Centre
Assist in the marketing and promotion of the Centre and maintain excellent customer relations

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic manager, running one of the loveliest inland marinas in the Castle Marinas portfolio. Buckden Marina has 240 berths, and is situated on a beautiful part of the River Great Ouse near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We have a mixture of river cruisers and narrowboats moored with us, and the marina is part of a (separately owned) Leisure Club, Marine Engineering and Boat Sales business and is bordered by over 70 delightful wooden lodges set in a mature leafy setting overlooking the marina.
We’re looking for someone who can drive the business forward, improve the profitability, manage teams of people, and generally be the public face of the marinas. We need a broad skillset, including exceptional people skills, computer knowledge, a strong personality, good practical skills to be able to maintain the marina, and a willingness to get stuck into whatever challenge is thrown at them. The package will include an incentive program focussed on occupancy, and a mooring will be provided if necessary.
If you have all of these attributes and aren’t afraid of hard work, we can offer you a great 5 day a week job (Tuesday to Saturday), with plenty of variety, and a mooring as well. The basic salary will be approx. £18-20k a year, plus an incentive based on occupancy of the marina, and the mooring as well.

Management of three integrated websites. 2x B2B / 1x B2C
Developing at least one new website (non-integrated)
Digital Image Manipulation
Management of Social Media site pages
Management of customer database
Creation of direct digital mail campaigns
Manage search engine marketing campaigns and analytics
Face to face sales with various customers groups
This is a full time position with some travel and evening / weekend hours required for boat shows.
Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
Boating / water-sports experience would be a significant advantage.
Full Driving licence required.
