As part of the Salterns Marina Group, Offshore Performance will provide specific training for the right candidate with proven Marine Engineering experience on Personal Watercraft, which will be predominately SeaDoo two and four stroke models.
 
Usual hours : 42.5 per week to include weekend cover with the requirement to be flexible to suit seasonal demand and boatshows.

Paint Manager
To specify, cost, quote, sell, manage & invoice all painting operations from complete re-sprays with AwlGrip, International & other 2 pack polyurethane paints, to small components and repairs, varnishing and antifouling.
Including:
  • Following up enquiries from customers
  • Liaising with paint manufacturers regarding specifications & application data
  • Viewing boats to draw up technical specification
  • Costing labour and materials
  • Quoting customers
  • Obtaining signed orders & deposit payments
  • Managing labour & materials for all painting jobs
  • Scheduling work through 4 x spray paint booths
  • Managing all painting projects
  • Managing paint compatibility & adhesion tests

An established brand within the field of Electric and Electronic installations to the Superyacht and luxury yacht industries currently require a skilled Engineer to join their growing team. 
Off the back of a very busy 2015 they have a number of exciting new projects around Europe and further afield, and so are in need of Electrical or Electronic Engineers to join them. 
Not necessarily from a marine background, you will have experience in the installation of security systems, alarm systems, or similar, ideally on high end projects such as marine, aerospace, property or alike. You will be used to installing both simple and complex systems, and ideally have worked with a broad range of manufacturers and products. Of interest but not necessary is some experience in designing of electrical circuits and diagrams. 
Whilst this role will predominantly be UK based, there will be an amount of international travel, likely for periods of 7-10 days at a time, to locations within Europe or Middle East locations. This could amount to as much as 2-3 months of the overall year. 
This is a great opportunity with a brand experiencing excellent levels of growth, and with a strong order book for 2016.

Responsible for building a wide range of naval vessels, this brand is seeking a supervisor to join the Operations team moving forwards, either on a standard permanent basis, or on a '3 month on, 1 off' basis
After an initial 2 month orientation process in mainland Europe you will be posted out to one of a number of sites in Saudi to commence your employment.
You will be overseeing a wide range of tasks, to include, but not limited to:
– HR Management
– Workshop Mangement
– Compliance assessment and overseeing of the various regulations involved in shipbuilding
– Cost Management
As an individual you will have worked within the defence or shipbuilding sectors before, with a minimum of 5 years experience in an Operational Management level. 
Furthermore you will be a degree or equivalent qualified Engineer, and be confident running large teams in International locations. Man management, an excellent multi-tasker and confidence in you ability to see a project through are all desirable skills. 
On offer is an excellent role with a large and well known brand.
Salary:

A manufacturer of a range of marine systems, including hoses, exhaust systems and fabrication are seeking a Development Engineer to join their growing team, based predominantly in Wiltshire. 
This is a hugely multi-faceted role that will aid the brand in developing their production and custom range of projects, built for the yacht, superyacht and commercial marine industries. You will work alongside Design, Production and Sales to ensure that the existing and future products are better optimised in terms of flow, fit, cost and noise /vibration supression. 
The ideal candidate can come from either a Motorsport or Marine background, or have been involved with one of the large engine manufacturers. 
Major requirements include:
– Design understanding – Autodesk Inventor and Autocad 2D
– Composites knowledge – Carbon and GRP
– Engineering and fabrication understanding – ideally with an engineering qualification to back this up
-An analytical mind, with excellent time management skills, an ability to multitask and problem solve.
Furthermore, beneficial experience would include an understanding of acoustics, thermodynamics or fluid dynamics. 
This role will be predominantly based in the Wiltshire area, although with multiple sites across the South, and clients all over the world, there will be a need and opportunity to travel aswell. 
This will be a very indepth but hugely rewarding role for the right individual
Salary
Salary expectations for the role are in the region of £35,000 but this will totally depend on experience. Benefits will include pension, healthcare and more.

It is imperative that you have a passion for yachts, sailing and/or being out on the water in general. All of the company’s employees are avid sea-goers and it will bode well to gelling with the team and enjoying the role.
The role will require you to maintain and update all of the company online activity, which includes:
Website Maintenance – Ensuring web content is up-to-date, uploading new articles and content.          
N.B. Not coding.
E-commerce – Updating the company’s internet shop with products, prices, sales, etc. ensuring all details are current and correct.
Ebay – Uploading and managing the Ebay shop, similar to the E-commerce duties.
Social Media – Actively maintain the company’s social media presence.

Ideally you have experience maintaining a website; adding data, articles and able to troubleshoot minor problems liaising with the website developer to address any issues. Experience in running an internet shop and Ebay shop is also crucial to the role. It is necessary that you be able to demonstrate your experience with social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook as well as be able to introduce new platforms.
This role is an immediate start and would suit a recent university graduate.

International Sales Manager – required to oversee and expand a trusted dealer/distributor network in delivering a market leading product to a demanding, high-end, luxury market as well as selling in to the boat design, Superyacht refit and semi-custom boat manufacture sectors.
You will have experience dealing with distribution networks internationally as well as have a good understanding of the international boat design and boat building sector to drive new sales opportunities throughout your EMEA and RoW remit, with a strong focus on Europe.
You will build a good understanding of the market share and competitors activities.

A Mechanical / Electrical engineering background is highly beneficial, as to understand the product and a level of support is to be given to both the sales team, dealers and distributors throughout Europe, Middle East and Rest of World.

You will work closely with the CEO and management team to understand areas within the global market to penetrate, assisting in the set up of new partners/sales representatives, providing full training and ongoing support. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Global Distributors / agents for the General Marine division.
  • Build relationships and create sales opportunities with semi-custom Boat Manufacturers.
  • Provide product training where necessary
  • Boat Show management – Overseeing the European Boat shows, and attending where necessary. 
  • Work with the Marketing department to Support the Team and Distributors with sales and marketing material.
  • Report Directly to the CEO
  • Build and maintain a good relationship with customer base.
  • Create new customer opportunities
  • Push products into new applications within the industry
  • Understanding the core products and their application, assisting with technical support to both the sales reps and clients direct.
  • Share market feedback to products, trends and opportunities direct to CEO 
  • Assist with market research for new product development

Key Skills / Requirements
  • Must have a good knowledge of the International Marine industry.
  • Candidates can be home-based but must regularly report to the UK office.
  • A valid Passport is crucial as the role requires a high level of international travel.
  • Degree in engineering preferred but experience also accepted.
  • 5 Years Experience in Sales management, with good track record.
