We are looking for a refit and maintenance manager to run a small team in the yard and in our refit bays in the factory. The individual must have a wide knowledge of boat building and maintenance,  be very customer focused and have the ability to run multiple jobs in an organised manner. This is not solely an office based job and you should also be able to assist in the work being carried out by the team where necessary.

One of the most internationally-known brands in the British Boatbuilding market are seeking a Test and Despatch Manager to join their team. 
Producing a wide range of Composite-built craft that are sold all over the world, this brand is fastidious when it comes to quality, testing and final sign off of its products before they arrive at the customer. The role will focus predominantly around the Electrical and Engineering areas of the build, ensuring final fit is of suitable standard, all systems work to their correct parameters and that on final sea trial and test that all systems are reliable at all times. 
As the ideal candidate you will have worked within a Production Boatbuilder, covering the later stages of fitout, commissioning and testing of the various onboard systems. A City & Guilds Level 2/3 and extensive experience with the major engine, system and electrical brands is key, and an ability to not only check on fit and finish, but also carry out some basic system troubleshooting will be required. You'll also be happy to confirm final sign off. You will also need to hold excellent management skills and take high level responsibility at times. 
This role is a little out of the ordinary in that your 40 hour week is condensed in to 3.5 days over the weekend, working 0600-1800 Monday-Sunday and a 4 hour Thursday handover. You will need to be a multi-tasker, able to think on your feet and make senior-level decisions in the absence of line management/directors over the weekend period, sometimes in order to hit some very exacting timescales and KPIs.

The Role as the International Marketing Manager:
  • Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for driving effective offline marketing & brand activity in line with the seasonal multi-channel marketing calendar
  • Support the event team in the delivery of their extensive global sailing and partnership portfolio including; input into development of onsite activation plan, data capture, driving onsite activations, social media feeds for Digital Marketing Executive
  • Work with the digital marketing and acquisition teams so that the product/ range/ trading strategies are align with each other (SEO/ PPC/ social / retargeting and affiliate marketing).
  • Responsible for managing the Account Executive.
  • Running weekly trading meeting's; running reports on sales, key metrics and promotions. 
  • Manage annual marketing budgets, accountable for the process from initial submission, forecasting, spend phasing and monthly reporting with responsibility for adherence to required total annual spend
  • Planning seasonal content based on weather patterns, seasons and holiday's. 
  • Develop CRM strategies for email planning, segmentation and personalisation from stock perspective. 
  • Collaborate with sales leads and Visual Merchandising team to create and deliver in-store and window sailing themed programs to elevate the brand vs. their competitors.
The ideal candidate:
  • A genuine passion and participant of sailing, a follower of the sailing market at all levels and awareness of current trends with an ability to translate these to the client’s brand
  • Must be well connected and known within the sport and the industry surrounding on & offshore sailing and dinghy racing.
  • Understands the importance of a customer centric approach to marketing. 
  • The ability to analyse data sets such as Google Analytics and CRM, SEO and PPC data in order to develop data driven campaigns and interpret findings.
  • Excels in digital marketing and has developed and run integrated digital campaigns including optimizing campaigns

The position requires substantial background in marine electronics installation and troubleshooting on yachts.  We supply and install Raymarine, B&G/Simrad, Furuno, ICOM, KVH, Seatel/Cobham, Mastervolt and Victron amongst others. Versatility is required for varied equipment such as engine controls, generator systems, yacht power systems, alarms and TV/audio distribution systems. Training will be available as necessary.
We are based in new premises at Nanny Cay Marine Centre near Road Town. A vehicle is supplied for business and personal use. There is an optional BUPA health insurance company scheme available. Winter is the busy time with high season October – June and low season July – September, and annual leave should be taken during these months. Probation period is 4 months, and the initial contract will be for one year, extendable annually. Our company is small and the working environment is flexible and friendly. The job would ideally suit single person with interest in watersports and island living.

Job description and Key Requirements:
As an integral part of the on water team you will work across and get an opportunity to be involved in all of Aquasail on water businesses in accordance with your certification and skill.

ii. instruct and race with clients during regattas 
iii. sail and instruct during team building programs
iv. be an integral part of beach and harbour sailing programs
 
We are seeking 
Instructors: Keelboat sailing, dinghy sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing, power-boating
  • Minimum 3 years of instruction and at least 5 years plus experience
  • Additional certification in areas like Race Coach, personal watercraft, life guard competency, kayaking, SUP, cruising will be an added advantage
  • Multi certification and endorsements will be given preference
  • RYA or equivalent certification is a must 
  • Racing skills and experience are an clear advantage
  • First Aid and safety boat certification are a must 
  • Experience in Sailing schools, Holiday Companies, Sailing events or Water sports center are preferable 
  • Good communication skills both spoken and written: English, hence strong inter and intra-personal skills in the language are mandatory 
  • Should be results focused and target driven 
  • Preference will be given to those with a strong educational background 
  • Experience of organizational and management skills such as activity administration, scheduling, maintenance logs, handling of clients and group supervision will be an advantage. In addition to sailing and instructing you will get exposure and be expected to contribute to program planning and execution and be a key part of the operations team hence team work and excellent interpersonal skills are essential 

Salary/Rate: 
The season in India is from End September to End May (8 months) and the contract will be for a minimum of one season. The duration of contract is mutually extendable. A long established boat sales business is looking for a junior yacht broker to manage the brokerage side of the business. Reporting to the company directors, the successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the movement of pre-owned yachts onto our sales walkway, and liaising with vendors and prospective buyers through the sales cycle.
 
The successful applicant will be required to create sales opportunities by ringing clients, showing boats to clients, and negotiating and concluding the sale. They will also need to source and inspect new listings, and follow the office protocol to its conclusion, being diligent and timely with administration and paperwork. Ensuring that brokerage and demo boats are presentable and ready for viewings at all times.
 
Experience Needed:
  • Must have knowledge of, or experience with, performance racing yachts and performance cruisers
  • Must be confident at boat handling unaided, for demonstration sails and moving boats around the Hamble marinas
  • Must be confident with MS office and able to learn a content management system and CRM system
  • Must have own car
  • Must be over 25 in order to drive company vehicles

Advantageous but not essential:
  • Experience in a marine sales role
  • Knowledge of local area and Solent water

Hours of work: Monday to Friday and approximately 20 weekends throughout the year (with days off in lieu). Must be flexible to work extra hours at boat shows.
