Marine Resources target new marine recruitment sector with new employee on board

Marine Resources has successfully focused on the leisure marine sector to date, and is now expanding its capabilities to meet the special recruitment needs of the commercial, superyacht and offshore renewable energy sectors of the industry.

Tie wa Li has recently been appointed by Marine Resources as a Recruitment Consultant and will focus mainly on commercial, and offshore renewable energy sectors, in order to expand the company’s capabilities as a marine specialist recruitment agency.

Tie joins the team with a good grounding in recruitment and headhunting after having worked as a Business Development Manager for Networks Worldwide, an Executive Search Firm specialising in working with High Tech firms throughout Europe and Asia. Now working within the marine renewable and commercial marine sectors, Tie’s focus will be on building Marine Resource’s profile and client candidate database.

Tie has extensive marine knowledge, being a keen sailor he has participated at a competitive level in the 2009/2010 Clipper Round the World Race and is a member of the Royal Yachting Association.

Tie originally from Dalian, China, brings wealth of experience to the company and has a strong knowledge of the Asian marine industry. Tie’s extensive contacts in this market will help expand the company and build the company’s database in this area.

PRODUCT MANAGER - £36,000-£42,000 - ROMSEY, HAMPSHIRE, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the company's products both existing and new.  The role will be responsible for ensuring that both existing and new products are properly and clearly defined, priced, promoted and managed so that they meet a clear market need and maximise their lifetime value, profitability and competitive appeal to clients.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering, marketing or business administration- related degree and broad electronics experience.  In addition, you would benefit from having at least 5 years' experience in product management, and experience in the marine industry would be considered an advantage, although not necessary.

Key responsibilities for the position include:

    * Definition of the product roadmap and strategy
    * Being an expert with respect to the competition
    * Developing the core positioning and messaging for the product
    * Preparation and presentation of business case analyses for new  product opportunities
    * The monitoring of web publications, trade shows, and the development of relationships with key industry contacts/partners relating to technology/cost/feature/knowledge and trend awareness

SALARY

MARINE CONSULTANT– HAMPSHIRE, UK

Our client is currently looking to recruit an additional Marine Consultant to compliment their current team and provide project and technical support to key accounts in offshore wind and other renewable technologies.

This role sits within the Health and Safety team and helps deliver marine safety support and technical advice to a range of clients in the renewable energies industry.

Candidates for this role need to be able to show a good track record within the marine industry and an understanding of offshore renewable energy developments, but candidates who feel that they can bring transferable knowledge & experience from other sectors could also apply.

Candidates would ideally have proven marine expertise with at least 2 years vessel handling or operational experience and an appreciation of offshore developments.

Working directly with clients and partners in a consultancy environment, candidates for these roles should be both excellent communicators and team players.

As a senior composites Engineer you are responsible for all aspects of Composites engineering including:

We are seeking a highly motivated executive with an engineering degree (preferably ME or MSE)
Consideration will be given in lieu of a degree to candidates with extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field of marine composite technologies.
