An experienced Boatbuilder with experience in Project work or as a Team Lead,  with experience in the Superyacht/Luxury Yacht sector is required for a role in Palma de Mallorca. 
This brand works across the superyacht spectrum to carrry out projects from minor overhauls to major engineering works, and are seeking an individual to join them in pushing forwards through expansion. With a prime position within the main shipyard in Palma, this is a busy business, seeing a wide range of projects through the doors throughout the year
As the ideal candidate you will be an experienced Boatbuilder with time spent working across the entire spectrum, to include engineering, hydraulics and ideally an understanding of joinery/carpentry/laminating . A versatile attitude and the ability to think on your feet are key for this position. You will need to be confident leading a team, working with the various members of the entire process, to include designers, owners/owners reps, and also third party contractors
This position is permanently based in Palma de Mallorca, and so will require relocation. There will be minor assistance towards this for a successful candidate
Salary:
Salary will be 'up to' €40,000.p.a

A leading brand within the Superyacht tender market is currently experiencing a fantastic period of growth, and as such is needing to build on its already great team. 
With the entire process taken care of in-house, the Design team is multi talented and diverse, and able to work on a varied range of projects, working from initial concept idea through to production drawings. A growing product range of both production and semi-custom tenders means that there is an ongoing requirement to evolve and create new designs to keep up with a fast moving market. 
As a senior Designer or Design Manager you will have experience working on Luxury or High Performance craft and experience working with Composite materials. You will be able to lead the team in seeing through the entire design process, and to ensure that timescales are met, whilst also coming up with new ideas and finding innovative ways to improve on existing designs. 
An experience working on structural drawings, system engineering and draughting for production are all key elements, as is leadership quality and a drive to succeed. Ultimately you will be taking on a very senior role within a fast growing brand, and so keen business skills and excellent interpersonal manner will go a long way to fulfilling the role criteria. 
This role is to be located in a German-speaking location, and so you will required to either speak strong or fluent German, or happy to undergo language training to ensure you are able to communicate across the company at all levels.

The ideal candidate will previously have worked in the marine industry and have knowledge of preparing quotations/estimates and dealing with  boat builders, crew, and private owners.
A good knowledge of working with spread sheets,  and drawings is important and some travel both UK and overseas is on occasion required. You should have excellent communication skills and the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they are capable of producing accurate and concise work.

Yacht rigger/trainee rigger required for a busy Rig shop based on the Hamble river.
 
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, that could vary from maintaining & repairing rigging, to helping remove and re-fit of Masts and Rigging on client's boats. You will also be required to deal with customers, both in and out of the workshop and on the telephone and to keep written records of these dealings.
 
Dependent on experience and position, you will be involved in all areas of the business and will have the opportunity to learn a range of new skills. Duties can include the following:
 
  • Terminating Synthetic Rope and Wire Rope Lines using various industrial machines and hand splicing.
  • Hand finishing, including hand splicing, fitting and swaging other hardware. 
  • Develop Rope handling skills and have an aptitude for working on and around water and in a marina Environment. As an assistant to an experienced rigger 
  • When required, greeting customers appropriately, answering the phone filling out job sheets. 
  • Small boat handling 
  • General housekeeping and, helping to maintain a clean and tidy workplace. 
 
Desired skills
  • A knowledge of measuring, Linear and Diameter 
  • Have good hand-eye coordination. 
  • Good attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also with minimum supervision. 
 
Personal qualities
  • Polite and presentable. 
  • Enjoy doing practical and manual work. 
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn. 
  • Previous sailing experience advantageous but not essential.

Due to expansion, a well known shipyard in the Netherlands require an experienced Project Manager to join their team. 
Known worldwide for producing some of the most eyecatching yachts and powercraft, the shipyard has recently continued expansion plans and so is recruiting in a number of areas. 
As an experienced Project Manager you will be used to overseeing projects on vessels in excess of 40m, covering the overall project itself. As a contact point between the design office and production floor, you will have experience working with Production leaders, suppliers, designers and more to ensure that projects are concluded on time and to a very high standard as required by both the owner and shipyard
A basic grasp of the use of Autocad, and also a strong ability to work from drawings is a must
With this role being based in the Netherlands you are expected to be fluent in Dutch and ideally English.
