Sunseeker International have long been at the forefront of the production boatbuilding market. With a large order book and a sizeable recruitment drive in place as a result, an opportunity has arisen to join the highly skilled Design Team, based out of Sunseeker Technology Centre in Poole. 
Working under the supervision of the Design and Naval Architecture management, the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the modelling of various components and assemblies on board the Sunseeker range of Yachts. This could be anything from a door latch to a full automated swim platform, with projects ranging in complexity and size. This will be a hugely versatile role, working with both standard fit and custom items. 
Any one vessel can be made up of thousands of separate components, the engineering of which will be essential to their correct operation. You will need to be incredibly exact with the manner in which you work, operating to tight tolerances and ensuring your work will not lead to failure of the chose assembly. 
You will have gained your career experience within either the production boatbuilding world or large scale complex machinery builds such as Aerospace. An analytical individual, you'll be able to take a problem and find solutions that are both cost and space effective within the project. Furthermore, you'll be able to comfortably model your work within Siemens NX or similar, creating BOMs and production drawings for the workshop floor.

Building a range of large craft, this brand has long been known for producing market leading products, built to exceptional standards from their large manufacturing site in the South West. 
As Production Lead, your role will be manage resources effectively across the board, upholding high standards, whilst maintaining a position of control and respect within your department. Adopting a proactive and multi-tasking manner, you will work diligently to complete works within a number of parameters, to include quality, time and staffing requirements. You will personally audit your department with a number of KPIs, working with all involved to troubleshoot and improve should targets not be hit. 
You will manage your assigned production team to a high standard, using specific skillsets effectively on various areas of your assigned project, including colleague skill development, disciplinary proceedings, hiring of new staff and Health & Safety. 
The ideal candidate will have developed their career from an entry level stage, rising through the various levels of hierarchy through to Team Lead. You'll be an effective manager, approachable yet organised and able to work to strict goals. A background in Marine Carpentry at a Senior level is preferred, however experience in other sectors will also be considered.

Sunseeker International are renowned across the world for producing a wide range of powercraft from 52-155ft in length. As the UKs' largest Boatbuilder, they have become a huge employer within the industry, with current  employee numbers at their two manufacturing sites close to 2,000. 
As part of their growth plans, Sunseeker International have identified a requirement to further increase their headcount over the course of 2016/17 to cope with the increase demand for their products, employing at both their Poole and Portland sites. 
One department that has identified a need to increase headcount is the Laminating Team. Working to produce hulls, decks and components, this is a massively diverse role. Employees will usually be assigned to a specific build line, seeing the project from start to finish and ensuring variety in the content of the work done. 
You will need to be skilled as a wet-lay GRP Laminator, having worked in a busy production facility. This doesn't necessarily need to be in a marine related field. You will be able to work without supervision from assigned Production drawings to a high standard and in a timely manner. As part of a Laminating 'team' you will also need to be happy and confident working with others.

Salary:

Due to continued expansion of both their range and production numbers, a South African Boatbuilder is seeking a senior Design Engineer to join their team. 
Based in a small coastal city with some of the best surfing in the world, this exciting brand have been growing their presence in the high performance cruiser sector, continuing to develop a range of craft for either skipper-owner or crewed usage. Boasting a luxury product that is also lightweight, they are fast gaining momentum against their larger competitors. 
The company is keen to recruit a Lead/Senior Design Engineer to head up their in-house design team. Using Rhino, Inventor and Autocad, you'll be working mainly with the mechanical and electrical side of engineering, whilst leading your team of draughtspeople to develop your work for production. 
You'll have worked within the semi-custom or small level production environment, working to either lead or work as a senior within your team. You'll be resouceful, a quick thinker and also disciplined, able to work to tight deadlines. 
As mentioned above, this role is based in South Africa, so would require relocation to the area. This can either be on a permanent basis or as a 6/12 month contract opportunity. The employer with cover your flight out (and return if contract) as well as run your visa application. Its also worth noting that the cost of living in the area is very much reduced compared to mainland Europe and is reflected in the salary
