JOB DESCRIPTION
X-Yachts' design team is looking for an Engineer to work in the UK branch. You will be a member of an enthusiastic team working in close cooperation on all aspects of yacht development. The position available will mainly involve structural design and drafting with opportunities to get involved in other areas of general design as and when the development schedule allows.

X-Yachts' design team is looking for an Engineer to work in the UK branch. You will be a member of an enthusiastic team working in close cooperation on all aspects of yacht development. The position available will mainly involve structural design and drafting with opportunities to get involved in other areas of general design as and when the development schedule allows.
Our expectations
- Education in Naval Architecture/Engineering. YPD, Ship Science or similar.
- Experience in analysis of GRP structures, production of laminate descriptions and detailed work drawings.
- Minimum 3 yrs design office experience.
- Must be AutoCAD proficient.
- Preferably experience with modelling in 3D CAD systems (We use Unigraphics NX).
- Attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Experience with designs in materials such as wood, GRP, steel and aluminium.
- Knowledge of yachts and sailing is a 'must'. Preferably you are a keen sailor like most of the members of the team.
- Occasional travel to our Danish site may be required.
