SALES EXECUTIVE – (OFFSHORE AND SPECIAL PROJECTS) - £43,000pa + Bonus – SOUTH, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

To sell our clients’ products and services by working closely with shipyards, ship-owners, offshore oil and gas operators, engineering houses, our clients offices and agents worldwide providing quotations and technical and commercial advice and support. You will be expected to gain market, customer and product knowledge to maintain and profitably grow sales in your areas of responsibility.

Principal Responsibilities
  • To achieve sales to the offshore markets (and to other special projects as may be nominated from time to time): to both newbuild and retrofit sectors with a likely focus on Korea, Singapore and Brazil.
  • To receive, interpret requirements of enquiry specification including technical specifications, documentation requirements, delivery requirements and commercial conditions and produce quotations, bid documentation and technical information as required. Liaison with third party equipment and service providers is likely to be required.
  • Undertake bid management (e.g. defining and coordinating inputs from the engineering and procurement departments) to ensure we bid comprehensively having properly considered technical, commercial, costing, pricing, risk and competitive issues and adhere to the company bid approval process.
  • Plan and manage allocated territories according to agreed market strategy.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers, agents and offices through planned and targeted sales visits.
  • Profitably grow sales into the retrofit and new building sectors.
  • Monitor and report on activities and feedback received to meet monthly management reporting deadline.
  • Assist in developing pricing structures for each region.
  • Champion Water Systems products within our clients sales network, ensuring all personnel are adequately informed and trained on the products, their potential markets and pricing structures.
  • Attend seminars and professional working group meetings, to represent our client on professional bodies if required.
  • Attend exhibitions within your allocated territories.
  • Attend external customer meetings and make detailed technical product presentations to shipyards and ship-owners. Where appropriate promote complimentary products from our clients portfolio.
  • Follow up quotations and maintain CRM system with customer feedback.
  • Assist other members of the sales team as and when required.
  • International travel will be required.
  • Help to improve continuously the performance and processes of the sales team.
  • Work in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Knowledge / Experience / Skills
  • An engineering degree or equivalent and / or a number of years of experience of working in the industrial, marine or offshore markets.
  • Familiarity with offshore technical, documentation and quality standards would be a strong advantage.
  • Sound commercial awareness, including working with contractual terms and conditions is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate success in sales roles, preferably to the offshore market.
  • Fluent in use of MS Office, particularly Excel and working knowledge of ERP & CRM systems.

The Oyster fleet of award winning yachts from 46' to 125' is renowned throughout the sailing world for performance, quality and customer service.

We are expanding our sales team in response to increasing demand from international markets for Oyster yachts, which are valued from around £750,000 to £15,000,000.

We seek two senior sales professionals, one to be UK based and one to be based in our new offices in Palma, Mallorca. The successful candidates will probably be experienced yachtsmen, and will certainly be familiar with building discreet relationships with high net worth individuals and confident in selling a luxury, lifestyle product. Although experience of selling yachts is preferable, applicants who can demonstrate sales success in luxury property, private aircraft or similar sectors are welcome to apply.

Whilst a good standard of written and spoken English is required, fluency in European languages is a priority. Technical awareness and exposure to the Central European, Mediterranean and Russian markets would also be an advantage.

YACHT TRAINER / MATE - GREECE

JOB DESCRIPTION

With over two decades of experience in operating exceptional sailing holidays, Neilson make sailing accessible to everyone. We are looking for Yacht Trainers and Mates to work in our centres in the Ionian, the North Aegean and the Lycian coast.

As a Yacht Trainer you will be responsible for the delivery of sailing instruction and for providing excellent customer care to our Neilson guests to ensure they have a successful holiday.

Working as part of a team, you will teach sailing to guests of all ages and abilities following the RYA syllabus and Neilson programme, ensuring all guests obtain appropriate developmental skills. You will need to organise and host social events, deliver briefings and interact with guests throughout their holiday.

To be considered for this role you will need to be First Aid qualified. You will have previous customer service experience and experience of sailing yachts. In addition, an RYA Keel Boat Instructor qualification would be advantageous.

You will need to have a can-do attitude with a hands on approach to your work as you may be required to assist in other duties within the flotilla programme. You will need to be an excellent communicator, highly self motivated and able to work on your own initiative. Purpose of role
Located within the purchasing department reporting to the Senior Contract Manager. Working within the production facility alongside design, CAD, engineering & structures teams to provide purchase parts development support for boats over 28 meters 

Main Responsibilities
  • Be the primary purchasing contact
  • Ensure all purchase parts meet both design and budget specification.
  • Manage boat budgets & purchase parts delivery performance
  • Liaise with the Contract Buying Team & Principle Buying Team to ensure continuity of communication with vendors and on time delivery of parts.
  • Attend weekly NPI project meetings at the main production facility as required.
  • Communicate with Production Managers on relevant boat lines in reference to production / test schedules ensuring any supply issues are dealt with effectively.
  • Attend daily shortage meetings and chase through any information required to expedite purchase parts both through Development and Production
  • Manage supply base and instigate supplier improvement programmes where necessary.
  • Undertake make or buy scenarios, by challenging product design & specification to ensure best price.
  • Work with Principle Buying Team to ensure all pricing and invoice queries are address in a timely manner.
