AFTERMARKET ACCOUNT MANAGER - HAVANT, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

Profile & Purpose
Working as part of the Aftermarket/Distribution team that manages and oversees a worldwide network of Lewmar Distributors, you will have direct responsibility for a number of customer accounts with whom you will establish, maintain & develop a close working relationship.
The role is primarily focused on growing sales and profitability through a combination of pro-active sales activity and general account relationship management.
In addition, you will provide support and assistance to colleagues in the Aftermarket/distribution team to ensure departmental sales targets and customer satisfaction levels are met.

Sales
  • Manage an agreed number of customer accounts.
  • Achieve and exceed specified individual targets & objectives.
  • Identify new customers, markets and sales opportunities.
Technical
  • Carry out regular training sessions to ensure customers are up to date with latest product developments.
  • Provide detailed customer feedback to the design team on product design upgrades and improvements.
  • Provide qualified input into new product development.
  • Provide technical product support throughout the distribution network
Travel
  • Have a planned, structured and agreed program to visit your customers as and when required in support of your sales and training objectives..
  • Be prepared to travel at short notice.
Reporting
  • Provide the Aftermarket Manager with a monthly report of key activities undertaken each month. This will often only require bullet points for discussion during team sales meetings.
  • Maintain a monthly travel calendar in conjunction with the Aftermarket Manager to enable planning.
Skills & Previous Experience

An enthusiasm to succeed is essential, as are previous sales or customer service experience.
Knowledge of boats and experience of working within the marine industry would be advantageous, and experience of handling distributors would be preferred although not essential.
Most important of all is your ability to be flexible, working the hours needed to achieve your goals, being prepared to travel and being able and capable to utilise colleagues to ensure you can provide your customers with the very best service. SALARY

By negotiation, dependent on previous experience, Circa £22k - £30k
