Marine Resources Joins LinkedIn

Marine Resources has today (10/02/2009) once again taken another step to spreading its network to a further international level by joining the worlds leading professional networking website LinkedIn.

The Marine Resources Group will be updated regularly with new job opportunities, links to news articles, discussion topics and much more.

James Ward, Managing Director at Marine Resources said “Following creating a presence on Facebook last month we looked into other networking websites to get the Marine Resources message on.  LinkedIn was the obvious choice being the leading and fastest growing networking website for professionals on the web.  Now between Facebook and LinkedIn we plan to be able to reach a even larger network of marine professionals and people looking to make a move into the marine industry, to introduce them to our jobs and services, and also to be able to source some brilliant new candidates to introduce to our clients. I urge everyone to join either one or both of our networking groups to ensure they do not miss out on any great opportunities.”

Marine Resources offers headhunting service

One of the country’s top marine recruitment companies, Marine Resources, has launched a special headhunting service to help employers secure the perfect senior candidates.

The cost-effective service, managed by specialist headhunter Katrina Verdon-Roe, ensures clients can interview and select from a choice of the best candidates available.

Managing Director at Marine Resources, James Ward said, “In this current climate it is more important than ever that marine companies secure the right top-level staff to help them boost business and increase sales.”

Katrina, who has more than 10 years of experience within the head-hunting field, says, “Often, it is not appropriate for clients to advertise the vacancy as it may be confidential, especially if they want to grow an area of their business. Through experience and tenacity, I am able to find the right premium candidate.”

Katrina’s knowledge and experience means that she is able to secure exactly the calibre of candidate specified by clients in detailed briefings. She holds a Recruitment Practice certificate (CertRP), therefore she is up-to-date with the current Government legislation and abides by the ethics, rules and regulations of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.

Southampton based Marine Resources offers a variety of other services such as Staff Direct, its cost-effective online job billboard service at www.marineresources.co.uk, which is viewed by more than 50,000 prospective job-seekers each month, including captains, management, sales, engineers, craftsmen and more.
