You will have experience of working in shipping, port operations, logistics or airline/ airport industry with a sound knowledge of port operations, port business and ideally working knowledge of ISPS Security Regulations. You will have a proactive and 'can do attitude' with the capability to respond to challenging and changing requirements. As part of a small professional team you will have the ability to work on own initiative and unsupervised, be an excellent communicator, with good interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.  

A sound knowledge of H&S matters and understanding of controlling costs will also be essential.  

You will need a full driving license and ideally hold CTC clearance.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently working closely with a manufacturer of marine specific products central to the Superyacht and High-Performance yachting sector, who require an experienced CNC Machinist/Shop Manager to aid in the setup and development of their machining department.
 
With a state-of-the-art facility and an existing machining department, the successful individual will be joining the company to train a growing workforce, work with existing management in the procurement of new equipment, and to aid in the setup of various manuals to adhere to ISO Certification.
 
The existing Plant list includes a range of machinery including lathes and mills, and a 3-Axis Machining station, however as part of the development of the unit, they will be seeking to upgrade to 5-axis, and as such the successful individual will have experience to mirror this.
 
The ideal individual will either come from a background as an Instructor/Lecturer/Teacher within the Engineering sector, or have possessed strong machining and management skills, and be able to educate as well as demonstrate.
