| JOB DESCRIPTION |
To be part of the Advanced and Hydraulics rigging team. Responsibilities to include but not be limited to the following:
• Step, dress and commission yacht masts
• Manufacture standing and running rigging in wire and rod
• Deal directly with customers within the Rigging Shop
• Assist with direct labour in stepping masts, rigging repairs.
• Arrange packing and delivery of completed orders.
• Assist with Hydraulic servicing and installation with mast and hydraulic service and repair when required.
• Assist with Spar repairs and fabrication.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to within the department.
• Ad hoc rigging duties as required.
• Take customer card and cash payments
• Carry out rig inspections
Person specification
Practical knowledge of splicing methods and materials
Practical knowledge of rod rigging and components
Be familiar with wire swaging
Overall recent an relevant yacht rigging experience
Working knowledge of masts and yacht rigging
Ability to work aloft
Crane and plant lifting machinery experience is preferred but not essential
Customer service skills
