JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a world leader in providing ship services globally. They work in docks, ports and marinas across the world and have a renowned reputation for providing ships with all the services they need under one partnership.

They are expanding, and looking to employ someone to develop global accounts through identifying and defining a goto market strategy. The Client will become the service provider for all of their target market.

You will be managed in partnership with the Vice President, able to communicate with board room members, and operators alike. You will be driven and motivated by money, and building your own success.

As General Manager for Sales, you will not be motivated by people management but motivated by continuing to succeed in a sales role.

You must have the skillset to manage complex sales and this will be need to be proven. Understanding the market is imperative both shipping and cargo movement.

As a prospective candidate you must have the following;
  • Drive and passion for winning new business and ensuring customer service excellence
  • Results driven with proven success in the maritime industry, selling shipping services to the market
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in or  selling  to Trading, Broking and/or Agency
  • Experiences in the execution both consultative and relation based sales
  • Energetic, able to use own initiative whilst working as part of a team
  • Holds existing robust and credible relationships, bringing a network in the target market
  • Professional and experienced in managing key customer relationships
  • Competent presenting and demonstrating IT solutions and enabling.
  • Presenting to a range of audiences - understanding the audience and ensuring the pitch has the right impact
  • Experience of the cargo and trading markets
  • Commercial, Economic and Geopolitical understanding and awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language and local languages
