Orkney Boats are looking for a Boat Sales Executive to join the team at their office in Arundel, West Sussex. 
 
The successful candidate must have a 'can do' attitude and approach to this diverse role.
 
Key responsibilities will include:-
 
– Managing our existing network of dealers across the UK and Europe
– Develop and maintain stocking plans
– Develop the marketing and sales strategy in order to promote and grow the Orkney brand.
– Handling of direct retail sales enquires including spare parts supply 
– Providing after sales care and support to a widespread network of existing customers.
 
The role will involve regular travel to visit our network of dealers, including some European travel and attendance of regional and International boat shows.
 
Other responsibilities include:-
 
Further business development of the existing network of dealers with a particular focus on exploiting new international export markets.
 
A close liaison with the production manager for the purpose of scheduling of production, delivery's and confirming build specifications.
 
Maintaining an accurate record of dealer and retail sales whilst meeting monthly sales targets and reporting directly to the Managing Director.
 
Day to day administrative duties including preparing client quotations, plus invoicing and other administrative paperwork for customers & dealers.
 
The applicant should have :-
 
– Sales & negotiating experience within this industry
– Sound working knowledge of powerboats or a keen willingness to learn
– RYA Powerboat Handling Level 2  (Training can be provided for the right candidate)
– Full UK Driving Licence. (Experience towing & B&E licence endorsement would be an advantage)
– Proficient IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
 
We are an established business having been producing Orkney's for over 40 years and are now looking to expand our team as the business grows and evolves. Hands-on laminating experience would also be key, but not essential
You will be covering structural mouldings, calculations and testing, and be working closely with other areas of the design department through the process to ensure that each project is covered to the highest of standards. You will need to posses a strong understanding of the various classification rules, weight calculations, stability information and more, and be able to demonstrate these in an effective manner at all times. 
Desirable experience would include working for a production boatbuilder in a fast paced environment, and all possession of a strong level of self-sufficiency.
