ONBOARD CO-ORDINATORS - VARIOUS, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

OnBoard is an RYA project which increases the number of children and young people learning to sail and windsurf, and who subsequently participate in these sports regularly.
You will be contracted to the RYA for 120/60/60/27 days per annum respectively, ideally have your own transport, suitable work base (computer and mobile phone) and be situated in the area you would like to be considered for.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining links with RYA Training Centers  (including sailing clubs, trusts and education providers) and other professionals working with school-aged children (e.g. schools, youth groups, uniformed groups).  You main focus is to ensure the achievement of OnBoard objectives and success of the project in the Kent, East Dorset, Isle of Wight and Cumbria areas, as applicable.

The ideal candidates will have proven experience of teaching sailing to young people or adults and be qualified to a minimum of RYA Dinghy/Windsurf Instructor.  You must be an effective organiser and communicator, inspirational to volunteers, youth leaders and young people, and have good administration skills as well as being competent in the use of IT equipment and software.
You will have experience of working with volunteers, developing and delivering project work, monitoring and reporting progress towards targets and will be familiar with working within a child protection framework.  You will be self motivated, enthusiastic and willing to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

Flotilla

In General

Emergency call outs for breakdowns on any of the fleet.  You will be responsible for the safety of all clients including safety briefings and assist clients with any queries they may have.

Our client, one of the UK’s leading Motor Cruiser specialists, is currently recruiting for an experienced Yacht Broker to run their busy showroom in Buckinghamshire.

Candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic, with a minimum of three years experience as a Yacht Broker.

A proven track record within boat sales is necessary.

Candidates will ideally be based in the local area, or be happy to relocate at short notice.

CARPENTER/FITTER – £8-£12p/h - MIDLANDS


JOB DESCRIPTION

A recognised manufacture of luxury motor yachts are looking for experienced fitters with engineering and carpentry experience join their expanding production team

At this exciting stage of growth with new orders of 60ft and 70ft yachts you will be joining a close-nit team; primarily involved in the fitting of the customs orders of the varying motor yachts.
Working experience with motor yachts in a production line environment is crucial to this role.

Candidates must have Joinery & Carpentry experience whilst  working on yacht interiors, a previous background in cabinet making would be advantageous.  Experience of working in a production line environment is an important factor.

Quality and enthusiasm to follow the job through to a high degree of finesse are primary qualities required to fit into the team and evolve with the company.

This a great opportunity to grow with a company that is renowned to be a top class yacht manufacturer who pride themselves on producing high quality products.

Working Week: 7.30am to 6pm; Monday to Thursday

SALARY

Hourly rate of £8.00 - £12.00
Performance related Bonus Scheme

BOAT SHOW SALES ASSISTANCE - SOUTHAMPTON

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sailing Worlds Small Boat of the Year 2010 - help us spread the word.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, in particular be able to listen and advise. 
Some knowledge of small fast sail boats and multi-hulls is important. 
Prior to the show you will have the opportunity to try the boat and get to learn more about it.
The prime requirement is to be able to attend the stand during the working week - often unsupported. 
There may well be other similar opportunities at other shows. 
We are open minded and welcome all applicants.
