Yacht Broker / New Boat Sales Person

We are looking for a New and used yacht sales person responsible for the development of both new and pre-owned boat sales, the applicant must be able to deliver exceptional customer service standards with integrity and professionalism and be motivated. Due to the nature of the work a minimum of 12 months brokerage or new boat sales experience is a must

Basic salary in line with industry norms plus uncapped commission and other benefits.

JOB CONTENT

    Maintain and update sales leads for both new and pre-owned boats on the company CRM system
    Work with marketing department to promote sales of new and pre-owned boats
    Work on the company stand at Local and National boat shows as required
    Convert enquiries to sales and manage the ongoing customer relationship
    Report on sales pipeline, conversion rates and successes and failures
    Prepare relevant particulars, listing agreements and files for pre-owned boats
    Meeting and greeting potential customers and ensuring the reception area is presentable at all times
    To handle all documentation promptly and accurately
    Maintain quality standards
    To ensure records are accurately maintained
    File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned

You will be assisting in organising the small staff team which will include qualified RYA Instructors and Non qualified staff, providing guidance and advice as and where needed.

Candidates should have excellent communication and customer service skills, be conscientious and have the ability to work in a team but who can also work using their own initiative.

You will need to be a motivated, flexible and professional person who leads by example. There is the potential to transfer to a Full Time contract for the right candidate.

Along with the Centre Manger your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  •     Supervising all courses & activities making sure that all paperwork is complete and the standards are met.

JOB DESCRIPTION
A well established company providing high pressure valves and fluid controls for the Marine, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Nuclear markets are looking for a Costing Engineer to join their team.

The role requires a person with a mechanical engineering background having extensive knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes and possessing good estimating skills, in conjunction with a sound working knowledge of spreadsheets. This person will be part of the Production Engineering team.


  •     Respond to requests from the sales team to provide them with accurate product costs, to enable the correct sales prices to be calculated and maintain profit margins.
  •     Estimate manufacturing cycle times (Set & Run) for CNC turning and milling and also manual machining, de-burring and cleaning.
  •     Estimate times for our in-house assembly and testing procedures.
  •     Estimate sub-contract machining costs and purchased material costs.
  •     Use our cost analysis spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel 2010 based) to calculate at total product cost using a combination of estimates and verified manufacturing costs,
  •     Enter estimated set and run data into the in-house production routes stored in our MRP system and update these to verified times when available.
  •     Liaise with the production and design engineers, reviewing new products before they are released into production in order to ensure that a cost effective product is produced.
  •     Contribute to Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects (VAVE)
  •     Perform any other duties commensurate with the nature and level of the post as may be reasonably required.

Requirements:

  •     Qualified to HNC level or actively working towards completion of a similar mechanical or production engineering qualification and possess a minimum four years experience working in an engineering based role.
  •     Possess a sound understanding of modern manufacturing methods and assembly techniques.
  •     Able to accurately estimate manufacturing and assembly cycle times and material costs.
  •     Conversant with the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
  •     Good knowledge of Lean Manufacture, Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE)
  •     Ability to learn new skills and procedures and work to tight deadlines.

An exciting role to join a young but fast-moving and highly reputable water sports holiday brand Ocean Elements of long establish Tour Operator Alpine Elements.

The Operations Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for leading the Company’s exciting Beach programme and its future development, whilst ensuring the smooth running of all four existing Beach Clubs with a team of 60-70 hospitality staff, instructors and managers in Greece.

A very varied role which has challenging duties one might expect of starting and running a business in its own right. Duties will range from operational set up to staff management, reporting, overseeing the finance department, supplier contracting, client relations, (customer service) and quality control.

You will be a natural leader and motivator who will take charge of a growing team and inspire them to have a passion for what they do, and in the delivery of a seamless service. You will be a good communicator and have a head for problems and business, be self-reliant, dependable and resourceful. Skills

Marine Electrical Field Service Technician needed to cover the Asia Pacific.

Role and Responsibilities
The Field Service Technician will report directly to the Global Field Service Manager.  The Field Service Technician works directly with service and warranty staff to provide support, service, and repairs all products in the field.


  •     Plans service case intervention after initial instruction from the Global Field Service Manager or the Service Coordinator.  This includes, but is not limited to:
  •     Contact vessel owner / operator and gather data and information relating to the case.
  •     Assemble a list of all parts and tools needed to resolve the service case the first time to avoid additional visits to the case.
  •     Ensure shipping of parts and tools to aid in the case issue.
  •     Arrange travel to the case.
  •     Inform Global Field Service Manager and Service Coordinator of steps taken and all travel arrangements.
  •     Carry out service intervention in accordance with company procedures.
  •     Collect all data needed to present to engineering on completion of the intervention. This should involve a sea trial when possible.
  •     Write a detailed case trip report in accordance with service protocols.
  •     After an agreed amount of time conduct a follow-up with the vessel owner / operator and add any additional information to the case.
  •     Write detailed service and commissioning reports.
  •     Supports team with answering any incoming calls or electronic communication and following up accordingly.
  •     Carries out service work within their designated region.  The Global Field Service Manager and Service Coordinator will notify the Field Service Technician of the case number and location of the case to be serviced.
  •     Manages cases that the Global Field Service Manager and Service Coordinator assign.  Case management includes from the time the case is assigned until closure and after when necessary.
  •     Manages inventory out of location.  Including cycle counting, keeping inventory stocked orderly and labeled, and clean and replenish kits.
  •     If there is a prolonged period where there is no specific travel required, technician should plan to travel to our partner vendors or customers to provide refresher training and assist with routine service.
  •     The technician must at all times maintain the highest standards of safety, quality of work, personal presentation, vehicle presentation and reputation the company.
  •     NetSuite data entry.
  •     Setup and teardown all area boat shows.
  •     File all expense reports within 5 days of returning from a service trip.  Provide all receipts and documentation to Accounting.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

  •     Qualified candidates must have 5-10 years related experience in the marine industry preferably as an engineer or in the marine electrical field.
  •     The candidate must have a valid passport and be available for both domestic and international travel up to 70% of the time.
  •     Must be self-motivated, organized and have superior customer service skills. 
  •     Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision are essential. 
  •     Must have strong verbal skills and the ability to communicate professionally.  Strong command of Microsoft Office products, interpersonal skills, team player, and detailed oriented.

At the beginning of the season you will be expected to carry out the fleet refit. During this period the yachts are

the season.
