JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking to recruit highly motivated individuals to join a small software development team who have experience as an acoustic technician.

Current development plans include both desktop and web-based applications with a primary focus on the support of an integrated survey system for the real-time acquisition, processing and presentation of navigation, bathymetric and geophysical data.

The position will suit applicants with knowledge or experience in the following areas:

•     C++, C#.net and VB.net on a Windows platform
•     PHP, Javascript and Perl on a Linux platform.
•     Database development with MySQL,PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server
•     Real-time data acquisition systems
•     A scientific/engineering/mathematics background
•     2D and/or 3D graphics
•     Geographical Information Systems

 
The role will require the successful candidate to spend short periods at sea for the installation and commissioning of new software.
A willingness to travel on a worldwide basis is desirable.
