The candidate will have to report to the Officers, General Committee, Secretary, visitors and staff. The work will entail you liaising with the rear commodore sailing and secretary to develop and maintain the rolling regatta and event programme.

The job will entail the candidate to carry out the following duties.

Supporting the secretary and rear commodore sailing in coordinating and delivering the core sailing programme and open events, including planning, budgeting and provision of resources.
Providing a service to club sailing events including publicity, notice of race, sailing instructions, organising “on the water” and “off the water” support, publication of results.
Planning and overseeing the programme of maintenance to club equipment, currently including 9 support boats, 4 sailing dinghies and 4 tenders, VHF, Radios 
Providing a race day service, including liaising with race officers, issuing race bags, equipment and radios, etc., providing safety briefs as required and supervision of support boat crews.
Ensuring the sailing related risk assessments and method statements are maintained up to date.
Managing the hire/use of club boats by members.


As an ideal candidate you will have knowledge/experience in the following areas

Knowledge and experience of racing rules, race management and all their complexities.
Management experience within the leisure marine industry. (ideally operations management) 
Knowledge of risk assessments
Ideally a powerboat or sailing senior instructor qualification but must have a minimum of powerboat level 2
Has an understanding of the Microsoft operating suite.
The ability to work under pressure, using your own initiative, be proactive and be able to keep detailed and accurate records.
Experience in budget management, staff management and motivation (ideally with volunteers).

We are seeking a full time, experienced electrical and electronics maintenance engineer to join our technical team in supporting our fleet.  The fleet consists of 12 70' Round the World Race yachts, 10 68' and 2 60' ex-Race yachts. 

Whilst the primary requirement of the role is electrical, it will also involve undertaking general maintenance duties on all of our yachts whilst they are in the UK (including re-fit) and also during each of the 15 Clipper RTW Race stopovers in various parts of the world.

The successful applicant must have good general mechanical skills and must have experience in:

Sailing yacht navigation electronics / instruments (Garmin / Raymarine)
Satellite communications equipment (Inmarsat  FBB / Iridium / Sat C)
12 & 24 volt DC electrical systems (batteries, chargers and generators) 
240 volt AC electrical systems

The Base Staff are in charge of shore-based responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the flotilla. They will have complete responsibility for the yacht maintenance and cleaning of the flotilla yachts going out on flotilla each week, ensuring that the yachts are ready for clients and delivered to the highest standard.

The main duties of the Base Engineer will centre around the flotilla yachts. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to operational requirements. You will be required to carry out turnaround service checks, repairs and yacht maintenance, brief the clients on their yacht's mechanical systems and safety equipment, engine servicing such as oil and filter checks/changes and maintenance of outboards for tenders. Emergency call outs for breakdowns.

The Base Engineer must have knowledge of yacht maintenance, including marine diesel engines and 12V DC electrical systems.

You will be practically minded and have the ability to solve problems.   Previous experience as flotilla skipper or flotilla engineer would be very useful.

The Base Hostess will arrange taxi transfers to/from the airport for guests, prepare starter packs for all the flotilla yachts and assist the Base Engineer in the preparation of the yachts for flotilla with particular responsibility for yacht cleaning and presentation of the flotilla yachts to the clients.

You must be self motivated, have good communication skills and be able to use your own initiative. We are particularly looking for a team who can assist each other and work well together. We pay a great salary and an apartment is provided so this opportunity will suit a couple who want to work together in an overseas marina environment for the Summer.

A thorough knowledge of competitive sailing in small boats is also required and experience in facilities management and maintenance would also be a considerable advantage.

We are UK distributors for Moteurs Baudouin engines and gearboxes, TRAC stabilisers, thrusters and hydraulic systems and Maxwell windlasses together with being main dealer for MAN and Perkins engines, ZF and PRM gearboxes & Kohler generators. Our customer base is broad ranging from individual boat owners and operators to major UK boat builders, UK MoD and international shipping lines.

We currently have a vacancy for a qualified Marine Engineer to carry out service, repair and overhaul work on site and at our workshop.

To be successful in this role you will require experience of equipment and systems on boats of up to 45m and ideally of the engine and gearbox brands we represent with manufacturer training and a professional qualification.

You must have excellent problem solving and diagnostic capabilities together with knowledge of marine electrics, engine management systems and general boat systems.

Experience of GRP and general boat building/repair would be a significant advantage.

You must work to the highest standards un-supervised and take responsibility for your work, an uncompromising approach to quality of work and customer satisfaction is required.

Working from our Southampton office the job is based mainly along the South coast, however when required travel within the UK and overseas with nights away is a requirement for this position.

Role requirements

Plan and manage sales in this territory to achieve the annual and long term business plan.
Prepare forecasts by territory and monitor progress against those forecasts on a regular basis.
Work with territories to develop outreach activities that bring customers to the dealers.
Develop direct sales channel in the territory including the establishing and maintaining list of prospects and method to track follow up actions.
Enter orders and manage through to delivery to ensure the highest level of customer service and timely delivery.
Provide outstanding after-sales support including issues related to warranty, quality and after-sales parts replenishment.
Gather and report market trends and undertake benchmarking of competitor products.
Provide product development feedback that keeps LaserPerformance products in the forefront.
Manage weekly and monthly financial information as required including sales, forecasts and expenses.
Seek and exploit social media and  public relations opportunities.
Participate in corporate sales and marketing functions and events.
Assist in other sales and operational activities as required by LaserPerformance.
Desired Education, Skills and/or experience
Demonstrate effective territory sales experience or experience in the marine industry in a customer facing role.
Degree educated in business or related fields.
Strong technical understanding of the company's products.
Significant understanding of, experience with and involvement in organised sailing is an asset.
Strong organisational and verbal/written communication skills.
General maths skills
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems.
A second language would be advantageous.
