MARKETING & PR EXECUTIVE - £20,000 - £25,000 pa - HAMPSHIRE, UK

JOB DESCRIPTION

The PR & Marketing Executive is responsible for all PR and new customer acquisition for all Tui Marine Brands including; Sunsail, The Moorings, Le Boat & Club Vass via all offline and online routes to market.

This position will require close collaboration with all parts of the marketing department to ensure that PR and marketing opportunities are not missed. A full understanding and passion for the brands will be required.

MAIN DUTIES

PR

Produce regular press releases for all brands
Manage and organise all PR trips in conjunction with After Sales team to give the media the best possible experience and ensure that the use of trips provides the best possible coverage. This will require overseas travel to support the larger groups
Manage and oversee all PR projects
Look for relevant PR opportunities and liaise closely with all sections of the department to ensure maximum exposure of all TUI Marine UK brands
Build relationships with PR contacts and journalists
Monitor all on and offline coverage
Produce regular PR updates and reports and Manage PR contact database with history of all activity

Own the media sections off all brands websites

EXHIBITIONS

Be a main point of contact at shows for all TUI Marine UK brands
Manage all press events
Create marketing opportunities to maximise exposure at all shows
Maximise new customer acquisition via on-stand marketing initiatives
Look for additional opportunities to show our products

SALES PROMOTION

To research, recommend, plan and produce cost effective Sales Promotions, in line with commercial requirements and brand guidelines
Measure all activity for input into a future Sales Promotion strategy
To oversee all sponsorship activity, and critically assess benefits
To work with and support the Marketing Manager in developing and managing the business' marketing plans
To produce copy and images for all sales promotions

ADVERTISING

Work with the Advertising and Marketing Production Exec to find new and innovative ways to attract new customers via advertising
Review advertising opportunities, measuring and critically evaluating existing activity, and make recommendations
Work with Marketing Manager and Marketing Production Exec to develop annual advertising plans
Closely monitor competitor acquisition activity.

OTHER

Assist with the production of all customer acquisition related marketing material
Assess and manage any adhoc opportunities that arise to increase business for our brands
Assist with the production of all customer acquisition related marketing material

MARINE SERVICE ENGINEER

Our client is currently recruiting for a Marine Service Engineer for their depots on the East coast. The role will involve the repair, maintenance and installation of engines from 10Hp to 700Hp - mainly Volvo diesel.

Some petrol engine knowledge would also be an advantage.

Full product training will be provided, however, we would expect the applicant to be fully conversant with diesel engine repair and maintenance.

The position entails travelling to boat locations and dealing directly with customers. Good communication skills are therefore essential.

A van and mobile phone will be provided together with overalls, safety equipment and special tools.  Applicants should provide their own hand tools.

SALARY

The roles

The successful candidate will manage technical planning of the marine vessels and field operations to achieve timely availability, reliability and in a safe manner to company offshore installations. The Candidates

All candidates will require an appropriate Master Mariner or Chief Engineer Class 1 certificate of competency, STCW-95 qualified. Minimum 8 years varied experience in offshore marine operations in oil and gas industry. (Inclusive 5 years in Offshore Supply Vessel operations). Marine Surveyor / IRCA accreditation would be desired. Good exposure to DP Vessel operation, OSV, AHTS, Diving, ROV and Work Barge.

We are looking for a positive, experienced Manager with a solid sailing background to run the marine side of our club business.

The ideal Candidate will have:

Main Tasks Include:

Maintain the Marine Equipment and moorings to the standards set by Racing, Cruising and Management Committees.
Maintain the Club boats to the standards set by Racing, Cruising and Management Committees.
Propose a satisfactory renewal programme for the boats and equipment, seek its approval through appropriate committee.
Report to the Marine Committees with regard to budgets and activity within the marine department in preparation for monthly meetings.
Maintain the marine budgets, sign off expenses where they are within the budget and seek approval where they are over budget.
Provide Winter lay-up Programme, maximise income and efficiency.
