  • Minimum 2 years of instruction and at least 5 years plus experience.

  • Multi certification and endorsements will be given preference. 
  • RYA or equivalent certification is a must. 
  • Racing skills and experience are an clear advantage.
  • First Aid and safety boat certification are a must 
  • Experience in Sailing schools, Holiday Companies, Sailing events or Water sports center are preferable 
  • Good communication skills both spoken and written : English, hence strong inter and intrapersonal skills in the language are mandatory
  • Should be results focused and target driven
  • Preference will be given to those with a strong educational background
  • Experience of organizational and management skills such as activity administration, scheduling, maintenance logs, handling of clients and group supervision will be an advantage. 
 
 In addition to sailing and instructing you will get exposure and be expected to contribute to program planning and execution and  be a key part of the operations team hence team work and excellent interpersonal skills are  essential.   •       Furling unit installation and servicing
  •       Stepping and tuning masts
  •       5 years practical experience
  •       Sailing experience
Duties and responsibilities:
 
  •        Operate all machinery in the rigging shop:  cold head press, crimp tools, swaging machine, etc
  •       Carry out surveys of masts and rigging, make reports and fix faults identified
  •       Remove, make and install rod and wire rigging along with the needed hardware
  •       Disassemble, repair, reassemble and re-install furlers and other deck hardware
  •       Splice rope to specifications, remove old line,  install  new line 
  •       Provide engineering input on trouble shooting and problem solving
  •      Clean and maintain all tools and work area
 
The candidate must be fluent in English with excellent communication skills, have a positive and friendly attitude and be able to work alone in the field, or as part of a team.
