A Marine Hardware specialist, focussing on the leisure and superyacht sectors, require a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Hampshire based team due to growth.
As a major player within the marine sector, the brand seek a degree qualified individual versed within Marine or Mechanical Engineering and Design to work on a range of new and existing projects. A lot of the products manufactured are slow moving and expected to be able to cope with high loads, however the overall brand has a fairly extensive product listing and diversifies in to a number of markets.
You will ideally be versed in working with a wide range of materials, from initial design idea through to 2D draft and 3D modelling to be passed to the production team for manufacture. Ideally, you will be skilled in the use of ProEngineer/Creo 2, however a strong use of other such products would also be considered a plus. You will be expected to present documentation, BOMs, and also be able to stay atop any deadlines required. A forward thinking manner with the ability to advise or suggest improvements or changes to the process will also play huge dividends.
