A well known blue-chip specialist publisher is looking for a highly effective and driven advertising sales executive with a proven track record of consistent sales. The client is looking for an advertising sales manager to work on a leading yachting website and yachting magazine. This crucial role will involve the development of new online revenue streams as well as more traditional media sales, helping a growing range of clients promote their products via our clients brand.

This position would suit someone who has a varied background in magazine/ newspaper advertising sales in possibly FMCG, luxury goods and market leading branded products. This situation offers a great opportunity to make a difference and be appreciated for your expertise. This glossy magazine would benefit from someone with indepth industry knowledge, fully conversant with IT, effective communication, target driven sales and the ability to increase existing client budgets.

A fantastic opportunity to grow the core business and really make your mark. An interest in sailing is optional, not an essential, as although the product itself lies within the industry the opportunities are not strictly marine.

SALARY

ADVERTISING SALES MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

A highly experienced Advertising Sales Manager is required within a successful company that offers various internet services to the marine industry.

The role is mainly based around selling web advertising space and candidates must have worked within a similar role.

Candidates must also have worked within or have a detailed knowledge of the marine industry and the contacts to go with it.

The role can be part home based but candidates would be expected to spend some days per week at our clients head office.

Some of the roles of Advertising Sales Manager incorporates the following:

- To manage all advertising sales staff and be responsible for the target carried by the sales team
- To provide or advise on training requirements for the sales team and chair regular sales meetings with sales staff.
- To dedicate a team member to sell event sponsorship for the main sailing events of the sailing calendar.
- To maintain close and regular contact with the marine industry to advise our client of developments that could be made.
- To monitor development of new products and services distributed through our clients website.
- To be responsible for recruiting new advertising sales staff where appropriate
- To create and update an ongoing electronic database of marine business contacts whilst you work
- To attend all appropriate events making contact with potential and existing customers.

SALARY

£40,000 - £45,000 basic depending on experience and knowledge of industry, OTE uncapped!

ADVERTISING SALES EXECUTIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

 is a digital publishing company, which produces an exciting portfolio of products in print, online, on screens, and through schools' learning channels.

We are due to launch three exciting new media products and are looking for the right person to help us take these products to market.

Our ideal candidate will have sales experience and a strong desire to succeed. The ability to work on your own initiative to grow a portfolio of customers is the most important factor.

This is a telephone-based sales role and you will be required to generate new business through proactive calls and by using your own initiative. You should have:

 - A good telephone manner
 - Great listening and communication skills
 - The art of persuasion and ability to close on sales
 - A desire to exceed targets

Ideally, experience in selling advertising in the publishing industry will be an advantage.

For the right candidate, the earnings potential is uncapped, so if you think you've got what it takes then we can reward you.  Generous basic + commission structure and training is provided.

SALARY

OTE £26K to £30K
