A Sales Director (EMEA) is required to join a successful global brand. In addition to being the Worldwide leader in supplying navigation products, our client provides superior entertainment systems including onboard audio and video equipment to the marine market.
The ideal candidate will come from a marine electronics background or have marine entertainment knowledge. They will be required to manage a team of Sales and Service staff collaborating with the parent company administration and sales functions.
There is a large amount of International travel required with this role in order to attend corporate functions, meetings, a large number of trade events and sales trips.
Key Responsibilities
• Budget for and maintain the EMEA P&L.
• Manage a team of Senior Sales Managers across Europe providing support through training materials and programs and mentoring on business strategy.
• Develop and execute distribution strategies across EMEA region
• Manage various distributor and direct OEM accounts across EMEA
• Identify and convert new business opportunities
• Liaise with various relevant industry bodies such as national marine and RV industry associations
• Manage inventory and forecasting for EMEA
• Set, action and maintain pricing strategy on new and existing products
• Supervise customer service and support staff – set warranty and service standards
• Act as a liaison with parent company national General Managers and regional directors
• Provide market, product and competitor feedback to appropriate teams.
Required skills/experience –
• Degree in Business or relevant field preferred.
• Experience in leadership / staff management
• Experience with supplying a product or service via national distributors
• Outstanding sales and business strategy skill set.
• High level of administrative and organizational skills and attention to detail.
