Main Responsibilities

  • Take 'sales ownership' of all allocated accounts, coordinating all aspects of the selling process. 
  • Work with Distributor Manager to develop a sales strategy for each account, this will include targeting additional territories for new Distributors.
  • Support the delivery of a bi-annual Distributor Conference and plan and deliver an annual training seminar.
  • Conduct regular visits (and join yard trips), carrying out sales training of the distributor staff. 
  • Present quarterly forecast updates for each account, including sales forecast, opportunities and risks/challenges. 
  • Work closely with your Account support team to maintain the highest service level to the Account. 
  • Maintain a database of all new boat projects and the Oceanair quoted products for your allocated accounts.

Ideally from a background working in a Design Engineer or Naval Architect role, you will have experience working with Composite materials and small craft. You will be highly skilled in the use of Solidworks 3D and CATIA, and be used to working with a varied range of different softwares to a good level. A Naval Architecture or similar degree is also required.

You will be joining an existing Design Team of 5 individuals and be looking to come in at the upper end of the team, being able to fill in for the Design Team Lead when he is out of the office. There will be an element of project management also involved, so experience working as a Boatbuilder or in marine construction would also be of huge benefit.

As this role is outside of the UK we welcome international applicants for the position. Whilst being able to speak German is not a must, an interest in learning the language would be required.

The Position is for a 3 month contract role, and will include return travel to Germany and also accommodation for the duration of the contract as well as a competitive salary

The applicant should preferably have experience with inboard and outboard servicing and diagnostics, fit outs and re engine knowledge.
Boat systems experience, electrics, electronics, water systems etc an advantage.

The applicant must be able to work on there own or as part of a team, have a good work ethic and be willing to learn new methods.

Dealership certificates will be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence is a necessity.

Good rates of pay and dealership courses/training will be made available to the right candidate.

Due to continued expansion, one of our major clients, builders of a range of luxury yachts, require boatbuilding professionals for their busy Southampton  facility.
 
Requirements at this stage are for the following
 
1x Engineer with both maintenance and new build experience
 
2x Fitout Specialists – ideally from a luxury yacht background, fitting deck gear and fittings
 
1x GRP Laminator – Experience working with high end sail or power vessels
 
1x GRP Laminator with Finishing experience – As above, experience working with luxury and high end products would be an advantage.
 
The company are looking to take on individuals on a temporary to permanent basis. You would be working as a contractor for the first 12 weeks on a rate of £14.50/hr (Ltd Co or Umbrella), and upon successful completion they will be looking to offer a permanent contract at a rate of £12 -  £12.50/hr.

JOB DESCRIPTION
A company operating within the Composites sector with an extensive background within the Marine, Offshore and Automotive sectors are seeking a Composite Design Draughtsperson to join their Hampshire based Marine team
 
You will be expected to produce engineering drawings, using either 2D Draughting or 3D modelling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, ProEngineer or CATIA to support the engineering department, and also be able to advise Engineers on the best use/practise leading from the work produced. An understanding of, or experience working with Composite Materials would be advantageous, and the role itself would suit a Boatbuilder looking to make a move from the shop floor to the design office.
 
There will also be an element of client contact required, which you will work on with a more senior member of the department.
 
The ideal candidate will be available for an immediate start, and be able to work to a good technical standard, and a self-starter who will not require supervision.
 
 
Salary
 
£26,000 - £30,000.pa
