| JOB DESCRIPTION |
The client is a profitable and cash generative marine services organisation. Well supported by family shareholders it has ambitious but considered future plans and has a strategy for sustainable longevity. It seeks to appoint a well rounded and commercial General Manager to support the Chief Executive and compliment the other members of the executive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all operational matters and will have a record of making a contribution both strategically and operationally. He / she will have a passion for the highest levels of customer engagement and service together with having had previous responsibility for health and safety and environmental matters. The General Manager to be appointed will lead the capital expenditure proposals and projects, will work closely with the commercial teams and will have a record of successful delivery in a marine services / engineering environment.
With an engineering background the individual to be appointed will be familiar with the workings of dockyards and ports, will have the ability to work on their own initiative and will be collegiate and a team player. "Hands -on " by nature and well organised to deal with the variety of day to day tasks this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing profitable development of a well regarded and well supported business.
