| JOB DESCRIPTION |
The Marine Engineer will be responsible for mechanical and electrical planned and breakdown maintenance for heavy duty diesel engines on tug boats. The client operate a fleet of 3 Harbour Tugs on a 24/7 basis. The successful applicant will be required to join a rota system that ensures an engineer is available for harbour ship towage evolutions.
Candidates must have STCW 111/1 or 111/2 or equivalent to be considered for the position. Without this training you will not be considered for the position.
Key Skills for position
- Thorough knowledge of the operation and marine diesel engines and electrical systems.
- Used to planned maintenance systems.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Dry Dock Experience
- Welding and Burning
- Production of Fabrication drawings etc
- Cleaning and painting as required
Salary
£30,000+
