| JOB DESCRIPTION |
A governing body within the marine industry require a Technical Manager to join them at their head office to lead the Technical team in advising and educating their members on a range of products and services.
You will be responsible for a team of two executives, as well as the Technical department budget, and will be expected to ensure that the department is run to a high standard at all times.
The ideal individual will possess an extensive expertise of the design, manufacturing and use of small leisure and commercial craft, as well as various legislation relevant to this sector (CE, RCD).
Furthermore, excellent communication skills, and an ability to offer excellent technical advice at all levels is a must, including an ability to be able to lobby in an effective manner.
Strong people skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task and be highly organised.
You will possess a degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, and have spent a minimum of 5 years within a Senior Marine Industry role. Being a Chartered industry member would also be considered a bonus.
This represents an excellent opportunity for someone keen to further themselves within a Technical position, and a chance to have a say in the technical development of the marine sector.
