| An organisation within the inland waterways sector requires a Business and Technical Manager to join them in rolling out a new safety scheme to its members, looking after the rollout and development of the initiative. Through various initiatives they are seeking to broaden awareness of the scheme, and therefore improve safety across the marine sector. As part of a small team within the Scheme, you will be working with anyone from examiners within the scheme, through to customers and various authorities to ensure that the Scheme is adhered to, administered and promoted correctly to all concerned. Ideally from the marine background, you will have an engineering knowledge, and also if possible an understanding of boat construction, fitout and safety systems. This will allow you to advise from a point of knowledge, and be able to lobby and promote on behalf of the scheme to various members. This role will allow you an excellent opportunity to be involved within the marine sector, and aid in improving levels of enjoyment to the marine sector as a whole whilst ensuring all boat users are safe in doing so On offer is an attractive salary and pension package.
