JOB DESCRIPTION

Our present Chief Executive, John Tweed, is retiring later this year and we therefore need to appoint a suitable successor. 

The job involves leading the Academy workforce and ensuring the venue's sustainability as a World Class venue.  In addition the postholder will need to ensure a lasting and beneficial legacy from the 2012 sailing events.

Further important aspects of the role are promoting community use of the venue and engaging positively with all local stakeholders.

The person appointed is likely to have existing senior management experience in an environment with multiple stakeholders, a strong track record of effective financial management and experience of developing and implementing change strategies in organisations.

A thorough knowledge of competitive sailing in small boats is also required and experience in facilities management and maintenance would also be a considerable advantage.
