General
This role will be accountable and instrumental in:
Managing the Centre's administrative and booking processes having specialist responsibilities for areas such as payments, invoicing, processing booking forms, compiling and producing data, responding to and coordinating specific pre/post booking enquires, and providing administrative support to the leadership team.
Being the first friendly face to greet supporters and deal with all enquiries from new and current supporters via telephone, e-mail, letters and face to face enquiries, using systems and campaigning techniques to maximise income opportunities.
Assisting the local leadership team in the commercial management of the Centre and contribute to the successful promotion of the centre programmes and managing customer relationships. To maximise income generation and supporter retention.
Experience:
A clear understanding of the importance and implementation of quality customer care.
A clear understanding of the importance of site security and the importance of safeguarding.
Able to accurately process electronic or manual information e.g. booking information and inputting into MRM packages or similar.
Able to plan own workload within timescales set by supervisor
Knowledge/Technical Skills:
Has knowledge of and is able to follow a range of often complex procedures relating to sailing/watersports e.g. when dealing with customers/colleagues in person or over the phone. Knowledge on using governing body schemes of work like RYA youth stages
Able to carry out accurate calculations using percentages or decimals e.g. when producing accounts or reports, or administering credit/debit card payments.
Able to analyse problems, interpret information and use creative, judgmental, developmental skills in order to find solutions.
Desirable but not essential:
An Interest of sailing, rowing, power boating with qualifications either personal or instructor and an awareness of the Royal Yachting Association (Governing body)
