JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking to recruit a commercial proposal writer to there ever expanding team who will be reporting into the Metocean Business manager

The Commercial Proposal Writer will provide dedicated commercial and marketing support to the Metocean Department with the objective of presenting Metocean services to clients, written and face to face, contributing directly to the continued growth and development of the department.

The principle accountabilities of the role are:


    Support the senior members of the team in the day to day organisation of the department’s commercial tasks.
    Compose standard and bespoke commercial and technical documentation.
    Support in the marketing of the department internally and to 3rd party clients.
    Liaise directly with clients during the tendering process.
    Maintain all relevant quality procedures.
    Provide support in the development of the department’s commercial KPI recording.
    Gather and provide informed information to assist the tendering and commercial decision making process for the department.
    Attend client meetings and industry functions globally to represent the department.
    Support the team in the delivery of effective employee communications.


It is essential that you have:


    Experience of MS Office products (particularly Word, and Excel).
    Education to A level or equivalent in English. 
    Strong attention to detail, keen problem solver.
    Flexible and adaptable; to work in a changing environment and be open to new ideas.
    Develop constructive relationships with a wide range of people.
    A clear, open and honest communicator.
    Display a proactive approach in taking work issues forward.
    Full UK driving licence.


It is desirable that you have:


    Experience of proposal writing.
    Previous experience of offshore or marine survey activities.
    Experience of moorings.
    Oceanographic instrumentation experience.
    Business Degree.
    MS Project & Paintshop Pro.
