JOB DESCRIPTION
Dubai Offshore Sailing Club is a premier venue for racing and coaching. The sailing centre has set up a Sailing Academy that has produced great results in National and International Competitions. The club is looking to build on this success with a strong candidate for the role of RYA Dinghy Instructor.
Person Specification:
RYA Dinghy Instructor
Race Endorsement/ Coaching Qualification / Optimist or Laser Racing and Coaching Experience
Valid 1st Aid Certificate
Powerboat Level 2
Additional endorsements welcomed.
Job Description:
Responsibilities of the Dinghy Instructor may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out all lessons in line with the RYA syllabus and DOSC Standard Operating Procedures.
- To provide Laser/Optimist coaching in the Sailing Academy, and provide assistance to the Chief Instructor in the development of the scheme.
- Assist with Maintenance and updating Sailing Department assets and inventory list.
- Carryout maintenance on both the safety and sailing fleet.
- Assist with the facilitation of evening sailing events; cruiser and dinghy evenings.
