SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Watersports Manager, your main responsibilities will be to manage the delivery of RYA training courses and the development of an exciting new Sports Boat programme, utilizing the new fleet of J 80’s. This is to include race training, away days, and other corporate opportunities. You will also be expected to liaise on a regular basis with the University user groups to ensure a good working relationship is maintained. You will also work very closely with the other centre S.I’s assisting then in their role to provide outdoor education and recreation for groups within the education, youth and community sector, in line with the standards laid down by AALA the RYA and other National Governing Bodies. Centre S.I’s are expected to take on the role of Duty Manager on a rota basis.

The ideal candidate will have extensive industry knowledge. You will be given the opportunity to stamp your personality on the operation within a friendly, informal working environment. You will have effective training and supervisory skills and pay close attention to detail. You will be highly motivated and will have the skills to contribute to the development of the business. Working closely with centre bosun the post holder will have special responsibility for the resource management for the center’s Sailing & Powerboat fleet. This really is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with a national Watersports and adventurous activities centre that has not yet realised its full potential, but is moving ever closer to it.

SALARY

40 hour week. 20 days paid holiday – Salary dependant on experience
