Purpose of Position
Define and establish quality standards, and systems to assure them, throughout the supply chain to ensure our client delivers excellent quality products and services while minimizing waste. Work closely with all departments to ensure systems and communication with customers, with suppliers and internally support this goal robustly. Support all departments in process improvement activities.

Tasks

- Support all departments to establish best practice:
- Quality measurement, analysis, feedback and action
- Take responsibility for the efficient operation of an 8D response process
- Support Waste elimination and continuous improvement activities
2. Manage company Quality system (ensure continued compliance to ISO 9001)

- Work with Sales and customers to establish where improvements are needed
- Identify which products need better or more objective quality criteria
- Work with our client’s personnel, customers, suppliers and other bodies to create standards that can be used and interpreted consistently
4. Implement standards
- Work with Sales to ensure that customers and our client share the same quality standards
- Provide guidelines for inclusion of specifications within commercial contracts where necessary
- Work with Purchasing to audit suppliers or otherwise ensure that suppliers understand and comply with standards
- Implement systems and inspection regimes internally to assure that standards are met throughout all production processes
5. Measurement
- Manage customer returns and warranty process
- Report on customer feedback and warranty performance / cost
- Work with Production and other departments to ensure that major causes of Waste are measured and analysed
