Here is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated watersports instructors to join China's premier sailing centre.  You will enjoy travel to the Far East, learn Chinese and experience working in a country where watersports is in its infancy as part of a team working to increase participation in a range of watersports within China.

China has for 5000 years been cut off from the West and consequently you will find that everything is different here even the simplest things like the way to open a banana (they consider the stalk to be a handle and open from the other end).  If you want to come here then come with an open mind, explore and discover these intrinsic cultural differences.  It will be completely different to anything you may expect and is full of interesting experiences.

Beijing Sailing Centre is the leading sailing school in China offering courses following international guidelines at locations across China. We are recruiting seasonal and full time watersports instructors.  The skills that we mainly seek are dinghy sailing, yachting; though kayaking, windsurfing and raft building will still be very useful.  Applications from multi-activity instructors will be more successful, especially with regard to year-round positions.

We operate four summer centres across China: On the coast adjacent to Beijing, on a lake in Shanghai, on a Shenzhen beach (nearby Hong Kong) and a yachting base in South-western China - so there is the possibility to experience working in multiple and varied centers.

We are seeking:
Instructors to fill a number of roles
RYA or equivalent certification is a must

Desired qualifications:
RYA Senior Instructor
RYA Cruising or Yachtmaster Instructor
RYA Dinghy Instructor
RYA Powerboat level 2
Valid First Aid Certificate
RYA Safety Boat
RYA Multihull Endorsement
RYA Keelboat Endorsement
RYA Racing Endorsement
RYA Advanced Endorsement
RYA Powerboat Instructor

Start dates available from April with end dates up to end November

During our winter season, we offer our members the opportunity to go on sailing activities at select locations around the world, therefore, subject to opportunity and your performance, winter contract extensions may be available.

Our package includes return flights, visas, food, accommodation and Chinese lessons.  As we are a young and developing business there are going to be times when we are busy and times when we are quieter.  This allows you time-off for travel and sightseeing, while you will need to flexible and be able to turn your hand to a variety of tasks.
