Survitec Group is a well-established and respected leader in the field of safety & survival products and services, operating globally, employing over 2000 people and with a strong presence in the EMEA region. We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to join the management team to support the business during its growth period and to assist expansion into new markets.
 
Job Purpose: 
  • To ensure maximum awareness and market presence of Survitec Group and its safety & survival offerings in its Marine, Oil & Gas, Aviation, Industrial and Utilities markets. 
  • To successfully establish and define the companys selling proposition to customers, prospects and other stakeholders through market research, competitor intelligence, customer insight and proposition building.
  • To communicate this through a variety of media including website, direct mail, customer events, exhibitions, and publicity campaigns supported by strong editorial and effective advertising, wholly with ROMI in mind.  
  • Maintain and share awareness of market trends, key competitors, customer and prospect activity and regulatory / economic changes to support the growth and direction of the business.
 
Specific duties:
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the company's online presence and play a key role in the build and launch of a new company website.
  • Own and manage the company's customer catalogues and sales materials to best support the sales teams and inform/educate the customer base to maximum effect.
  • Design and deliver lead generation campaigns including direct mail and e-shots, tracking retention, acquisition and ROMI
  • Maximise publicity and sales potential at selected events & exhibitions ensuring company presence is optimised
Other activities:
  • Provide expert and reliable consultancy on external communications, strategic planning and execution, across multiple business sectors. Focus initially in the UK and the EMEA regions.
  • Develop and maintain communications plans, budgets and timelines to ensure timely and effective campaign delivery
  • Maintain and build agency relationships to support campaign delivery 
  • Provide editorial and creative leadership for all internal and external communications.
  • Work with the group marketing team members on the use of corporate messages to support the brand and its attributes across all communications
 
Person description:
We are seeking a confident, experienced, self-starter who is comfortable working with minimal direction and able to work across all levels and in virtual teams. 
 
Has the ability to think strategically and determine the marketing plans required to grow the business, combined with a hands-on approach to execute the plans and get things done.
 
A can-do attitude, positive disposition and an eagerness to learn and grow in the business are essential. 
 
Able to demonstrate a successful track record in marketing campaign management from conception through to delivery and demonstrate business value. 
 
Experience in the safety and survival arena with a focus on marine, aviation, defence, industrial or offshore markets is highly desirable. 
 
The ability to travel within the UK and Europe when required as well as flexibility of working are also desirable.
