JOB DESCRIPTION
We are the leading manufacturer of Sailing Yacht Ropes in the UK and seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated, UK and Overseas Sales Person to develop the Marine Sales Division and become a key member of the organisation.
Based at our prestigious site in Malvern, Worcestershire, you will need to be extremely sales focused with experience in Sales Management and also ideally from a manufacturing background with an interest in sailing.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Manage and develop the existing sales support team, ensuring that they meet key objectives and remain highly motivated.
Work with senior managers in the delivery of shared objectives and prioritise the commercial effectiveness of the full sales and service department.
Develop both new and existing markets
Focus on increasing brand awareness and product direction
Develop existing sales processes which will generate sustainable growth
Work with and develop an effective tele-sales function
Help develop sales & pricing strategies
Work to enhance existing products or develop new ones
Be responsible for enhancing existing relationships and growing new ones
Evaluate competitor activity and develop appropriate responses
Enhance existing sales reporting
ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:
Experience in a sales management role in similar industries (manufacturing or marine)
Must be willing to travel (UK and overseas)
Highly competitive personality
Excellence at selling to large and small clients
Proven leadership capabilities
Target and deadline driven
Flexibility to travel domestic and foreign
DESIRABLE QUALITIES:
Degree educated
Proven ability to work as part of a Management Team
Strong IT awareness
Creative talents and an understanding of marketing principles
Foreign languages
Evidence of inheriting a sales team and gaining respect early on is desirable
SALARY
The position will command a competitive salary together with a company car, mobile, laptop etc... and benefits based on target earnings.
