JOB DESCRIPTION
SYS is expanding its custom new build and refit activity and is seeking a highly experienced Senior Designer to participate in all aspects of design work on significant projects.
The role would suit a designer with at least 10 years experience of the full design cycle from concept to production covering all disciplines. Our projects are broad ranging from new build through to the refit of classic and contemporary vessels. We work in all construction materials and projects generally include joinery, hull structural work, systems engineering propulsion, rig and electrical and electronics work.
At SYS we have the very highest standards and a reputation for quality and on time delivery and we aim to further enhance this record.
We are seeking excellent Naval Architecture qualifications and proven capability plus extensive expertise with Catia and Autocad plus well rounded knowledge and experience of yacht construction at a detailed level.
There is a need to work with third party owners, agents and suppliers and manage the design project overall as well as deliver first class designs to our production facilities.
