JOB DESCRIPTION
Golden Arrow Marine is a specialist marine power, systems and equipment supplier and is part of the growing Salterns Marina Ltd group. We are UK distributors for Caudwell Axis Drive, TRAC stabilisers, thrusters and hydraulic systems, Maxwell windlasses, and Lombardini Marine engines together with being main dealer for MAN, Perkins Sabre, ZF, PRM & Kohler. Our customer base is broad ranging from individual boat owners and operators to major UK boat builders, UK MoD and large shipping lines. We also have a growing number of industrial based engine operator customers.
We currently have a vacancy for a qualified Marine Engineer to carry out service, repair and overhaul work on site and at our workshop. To be successful in this role you will preferably have experience of the engine and gearbox brands we represent with manufacturer training and a professional qualification. You must work to the highest standards un-supervised and accept responsibility for your work. You must have strong problem solving and diagnostic capabilities together with knowledge of marine electrics, engine management systems and general boat systems. An uncompromising approach to quality of work and customer satisfaction is required.
Working from our Southampton office the job is based mainly along the South coast, however when required travel within the UK and overseas with nights away is a requirement for this position.
