JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, an established and reputable integrated shipyard requires an experienced Quality Control Manager to join their existing team.  My client offers a complete portfolio of services from in-house design to construction and commissioning.

You will be responsible for the overall quality management programmes for ship construction.  You will deal with customers, clients and key business stakeholders for yard visits, new tenders and new constructions.  You will do this with a team of assigned quality staff of which you will supervise and train.  You will ensure timely completion of internal and external surveys, support design/engineering and planning as well as be responsible for internal and external audits.

The successful candidate must have experience in a Quality Control managerial capacity within a reputed shipyard.  You will be fluent in English both spoken and written.  You will have the necessary ISO Course certificates and have knowledge of ship building material specifications and shipyard standards, procedures and class approved drawings.Knowledge of physics, hull structure, blasting, galvanized coating, pipe parameters, block fabrication etc. will be paramount.  You will have exceptional project management skills.
