JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is an internationally renowned and award winning company that specialise in the interior design, manufacture and fit out of luxury Superyachts and Megayachts around the world.
With their main factory located in Dubai they also have a number of other factories, offices and ongoing current projects situated all over the globe making them a truly international leader in their field.
They are currently recruiting for an experienced Architectural Metal Works Manager with previous experience in the Superyacht sector
Job Specification:
Overall responsibility for all operations in the metal factory.
Determine the long & short-term goals for the factory to ensure positive results in the areas of manufacturing practices, materials management and inventory control.
Responsible for all production activity:
Maintenance of the production unit;
Co-ordination of all manufacturing operation to produce the quantities required, within the quality and costs standards determined.
Develop long & short term plans for increasing production capacity & decreasing costs. ·
Manage the allocation of resources in coordination with the Fit Out projects to achieve the project plan on time.
Determine and monitor the overall resource capacity for the metal factory
Set priorities to maintain production expectations
Provide necessary technical assistance in tendering for turnkey jobs.
Responsible for manufacturing activities & Assembly production
Production of the existing products or new product lines
Meeting production targets, managing working effectively, improving product quality
Responsible for different manufacturing processes:
Machining, moulding, press working, assembly, metal cutting, pressing, bending
Responsible for interpretation of the engineering drawings.
Skills
Excellent managerial and leadership skills
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Good organization and coordination skills
Computer literacy
Essential Education & Training
Bachelor degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in a light engineering company
Thorough knowledge of AutoCad
Awareness of quality standards such as ISO 9001-2000
