CHANDLERY MANAGER/BUYER

JOB DESCRIPTION  

Our client is a busy holiday hire company operating luxury canal boats. They are recruiting for a new manager to oversee busy their chandlery and assist with the daily operations of brokerage sales and the engineering team.

This is an exciting and varied role. You will primarily be responsible for buying, counter sales, stock control, promotions and exhibitions.

Working out of the main office, you will also be involved in brokerage sales and job scheduling for the engineering team


Requirements:

Enthusiasm for the canals


Specific working knowledge of canal boats;

Previous trouble shooting and maintenance experience would be beneficial

Customer facing and interaction

Previous Retail experience

Managing stock Control

Purchasing and negotiating with suppliers

Flexible with weekend work
 
SALARY

£25,000pa
