ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - £30,000 - LONDON,UK

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1.  To oversee the day to day maintenance and servicing of all vessels
2.  To service and maintain all electrical systems on board vessels
3.  Ensure all faults and repairs are logged and reported.
4.  Ensure that any work carried out is fully reported
5.  Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
       
MAIN ACTIVITIES:

    * To ensure that all vessels electrical systems are fully safety checked in line with the company and statutory legislation.  This includes all ships alarms.

    * Ensure all craft are kept in service wherever possible, by ensuring effective and efficient maintenance is carried out at all times by prioritising maintenance and where possible, carrying this out during ‘down time’.

    * To assist the Engineers with mechanical maintenance where appropriate.

    * To undertake all electrical repairs to the vessels whilst they are being serviced.

    * Carry out planned, preventative maintenance on vessels as instructed by the Chief Engineer and / or the Mechanical and Technical Director of Engineering.

    * Ensure that the correct uniform and safety equipment provided is worn at all times.

    * Ensure that all equipment used is kept clean and replaced at the end of shift, to ensure all teams have access to the correct equipment to be used.

    * Work as part of a full engineering team, ensuring that all work carried out is reported to the Chief Engineer and / or the Mechanical and Technical Director of Engineering.

    * Ensure and maintain a safe and tidy working environment for the individual and the wider team.

    * Provide and promote the highest level of customer serviceContinuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance

    * Ensure that you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practice as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices

    * Ensure that all relevant information is communicated speedily and accurately in a way that ensures that the information is received and easily understood


KEY SKILLS:
Essential

    * Qualified electrician (240v)

    * Relevant working experience of maintaining and fitting new electrical systems.

    * Effective communicator and report writer

    * Able to work varying shift patterns

    * Positive with a “can do” attitude

    * Team player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment

    * A commitment to delivering the best


Desirable

    * Working experience form the public transport sector
