JOB DESCRIPTION

Rockley is an exciting, dynamic and expanding watersports company that specialises in watersports holidays for kids and RYA training for all in France and the UK. This is a rare opportunity to join the team at Rockley in a full time permanent position. The best of both worlds - spend the summer running one of our 3 residential watersports centres in the Southwest of France, followed by a winter working in the Rockley HQ in Poole. The winter position will involve working across various departments including operations, sales and administration. This is the opportunity you have been looking for to make that step into full time employment in the watersports industry.


CENTRE MANAGER - FRANCE - APRIL UNTIL SEPTEMBER

Responsible for all aspects of the centre, its facilities and clients. The centre manager is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all areas of the centre, leading to happy, safe clients who want to return year after year. Providing professional leadership to the centre's staff.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Management of all centre staff - including performance management
Overall responsibility for the activity standards via the Chief Instructor
Overall client safety onsite and during excursions and activities
Centre Administration - accounts, rotas and reporting.
Overseeing equipment maintenance and liaising with the Bosun.
Client liaison
Camp-site liaison and ensuring good relationships with all French suppliers.

Reporting to: Overseas Manager.

Requirements

You should have experience in managing people of a variety of ages in a number of different roles.
Ideally the successful candidate will have had experience in managing a successful watersports centre.
Good customer service skills are essential.
The ability to be flexible and professional at all times.
Hard working, motivated and friendly.
The ability to speak French would be an advantage but not a necessity.
Computer literate and have a full UK driving licence.

We will be holding interviews during December and January at our Head office in Poole and also at the London Boat Show.
