Survitec Group is currently seeking a Product Designer who will be responsible for marine safety equipment and watersports garments to produce designs, sample, realise and produce full technical product specifications from a design brief.
Description: Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain good understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques & technologies.
- Clearly detailing and conveying design ideas.
- Generate new concepts and ideas รข€“ Presenting these to a high level.
- Self sufficient at practical realisation of designs.
- Carry out pattern work and possible grading with an understanding on fit.
- Ensure design is fit for purpose.
- Plan tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Meet cost targets for both projects and products.
- Follow QMS processes.
- Responsible for designing to type approval should product require.
Role Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Product Design, Design, Performance Textiles or Graphics.
- Good computer skills including CAD and graphics packages such as Coreldraw, Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Autocad.
- Capable of detailing and conveying design ideas.
- 3 dimensional visualisation.
- Realisation of designs.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to design.
- Good understanding of realising projects from a brief.
- Ability to plan tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to generate new concepts and ideas.
- Artistic ability.
